I can’t seem to find consensus on this…
Does HCG get injected subQ or IM?
I’ve been off TRT for a long time, and still trying to recover from testicular atrophy and regain fertility.
What’s the best way to inject HCG?

Why don’t you seek help from your specialist or another doctor who treats male infertility?
I have ten years of HCG use. It doesn’t matter how you inject. It also isn’t guaranteed to reverse atrophy. I’ve had no reversal.
I’ve tried two doctors…and both tell me “you’re fine.”
I am clearly NOT fine…but this is their reply.
My testicles have shrunk by 40% compared to what they were before TRT. This is confirmed via ultrasound measurements.
My semen parameters were cut in half compare to pre-TRT.
However, both doctors are saying “well you’re in-range.” And they don’t treat me.
I understand my testicles are only 1 cm3 from “normal” size, but they used to be MUCH larger. I understand my semen parameters are “low, but considered normal,” but they used to be DOUBLE what they are now. Something changed. Something happened. And these doctors refused to acknowledge it or even investigate further.
It’s beyond frustrating. My semen volume has also drastically reduced (over 50%) and the color/consistency is entirely different.
SubQ in the belly. The more you use, the stronger the benefit.
Clomiphene citrate is good too.
Unfortunately I cannot use Clomid. It caused permanent eye floaters in me back in 2018.
I tried using Torem after I came off TRT…but I’m still left with these atrophied testicals and low semen parameters ![]()
I’m sure they have.
What kind of doctors did you see?
Two different andrologists/urologists.
They have specialty fertility clinics here in the Washington DC area.
Both of them were so dismissive.
OK, got it. If you lived in NY I would have recommended my doctor.
