This is how I plan on incorporating BBB in a full body template, I just want to know if this is optimal:
Day 1
Squat: 5/3/1
Bench: BBB
Assistance work
Day 3
Front Squat: 3x3
OHP: 5/3/1
Deadlift: 5/3/1
Assistance work
Day 5
Squat: BBB
Bench: 5/3/1
Assistance work
Basically I set up my full body template by having a squat, a press, and a pull on each training day, but I want to also incorporate BBB for squats and Benching because those two movements work better for me with higher frequency, so I was wondering if my template above is correct, my goals are to get stronger and bigger. Also I don’t want to do BBB for deadlifts since it did not work well for me and for overhead press I am fine with just doing the regular 5/3/1 as too much overhead pressing messes with my bench in a negative way.
too much overhead pressing messes with your bench? I’ve never heard that before.
I personally wouldn’t recommend this but you seem to know exactly what you want to do. If you believe in it, do it. If you don’t, don’t do it.
That seems to be the strength of all programs: belief.
What I mean is overhead pressing too much affects my recovery for benching; however benching frequently doesn’t seem to give me this problem.

Thank you for the response but I’m just curious what do you recommend altering? I am open to any critique

Jim have wrote quite a bunch of full body templates. Both in his books and lately in the 1.1 series here on T-Nation.
Day 1
Squat: 5/3/1
Bench: 65%x5, 75%x5, 85%x5
Assistance work
Day 3
Front Squat: 3x3
OHP: 5/3/1
Deadlift: 5/3/1
Assistance work
Day 5
Squat: 65%x5, 75%x5, 85%x5
Bench: 5/3/1
Assistance work
Okay I just bought and read the entire Beyond 5/3/1 book, which was amazing btw, and from the full body routine Jim put in the book I made slight modifications…how does the above template look, because I noticed that BBB was not utilized in the full body templates.
Have you ever done a full body 5/3/1 routine with consistency and 100% effort for at least 8-12 weeks? If the answer is ‘no’ I would highly recommend just doing the program as written for a few cycles. Jim has tested these templates and they are proven to work.
If you have used a full body 5/3/1 template in the past with consistency and 100% effort and you still think you need some modifications, then by all means try whatever you think you need. You don’t need our opinions. Try your modifications and evaluate after a few cycles.
You will not get weaker or smaller with either path you choose, and you will learn something no matter what. So try one, stick with it, and evaluate. I would choose Jim’s exact program if I were you.
Good luck!
Will do, thank you all for the advice
