Impressive Stuff At Your Gym

Same here, I’ve seen impressive physiques but never really impressive lifting. TBH, I haven’t even seen anyone here bench 315lbs without their spotter doing 50% of the work. Even 225 benching isn’t that common.
I would change gyms if that were the case at mine.

Yes, enviroment matters…a lot when your goal is passing most people up.
Agreed, ftr, the above statement was about commercial gyms of which they are many where I live. I used to train at a more ‘‘hardcore’’ gym when I was more of a noob, and despite the lack of crazy lifts, to date I have yet to see guys that big and lean anywhere else. Sadly, that gym closed down a while back.

I’d love to change my gym for that matter, but the only other options for me are a snap fitness or planet fitness…and that is not a step in the right direction! The one hardcore gym around me closed down, the guy just didn’t show one day…apparently he fled out of state and left the stuff inside to a few members, one of which opened his own gym but only does group sessions for sports really.

I don’t know where you are, but LA Fitness has taken over Houston. I have found great PEOPLE who train at many of these gyms like 24 Hour and Fitness Connection…which is what it comes down to, the people, not the place.

I know when I train at one gym I will not be the biggest there or the most developed, which drives me harder.

The one near my house sucks because everyone there looks like they are sedentary and thy stare at anyone who works harder. I only use that when I don’t feel like driving farther.

Later told me he got suspended 1 semester for lifting heavy weight on the platform and one of the unknowledgeable workers got scared and called the police which is why rack with the platform was removed
The worker called the cops on him…

…for LIFTING WEIGHTS???

My faith in humanity has just completely evaporated, and I’m being 100% dead fucking serious.

No Lifetime up your way? I have 2 within 15 minutes of my house in Kingwood. We were all members of a private gym that got bought out by Lifetime a few years back. It’s great because we all train in monrings before work and can flip flop gyms when we want and for what gym has the stuff we like the best.

Not even trying to be a dick…but I thought the person on the left After a quick glance was you…she’s BIG and I would have no shame with pipes like that

Lived in Portland, OR for awhile. Everything about that town fucking sucks, but at the gym I went to literally everyone I ever saw squat went atg with impeccable form. Literally every single person. The fact that an entire gym’s worth of squatters actually squatted right is more impressive than any single feat of strength I’ve ever seen.
Impossible!

BTW, I remember another tall tale about the abundance of fine Portland pussy.

C’mon Push, you know I’d see through your clever but transparent ploy to get more pics outta me.

That’s badass Push. Looks like you got yourself a keeper.

BTW, did you end up going to the Empire Classic in Spokane? My coach’s guy ended up winning the middleweights and the overall.

I went to a fancy gym on vacation in California where there was a woman working out. She was some type of athlete or competitor, this I’m sure. Average looking, late 20s about 5’7" a solid 150 I would say.

12 strict pull ups
275 squat for a ton of reps
And first female that really did weighted bar dips for reps

All with controlled strict form

saw 3 people benching today and they actually warmed up with the bar and were using proper form, one of them was a guy fairly built maybe 28-30 and the other 2 were 16-17 a girl and boy and the girl maybe weighed 110 and was benching 95 for reps pretty easily.

There are some pretty big / strong guys in my gym. One guy is a monster (and a really good, friendly kid). I have seen him Zercher 315 and then carry it for 25-30 meters. I have seen him do this about 1/2 dozen times mixed into a circuit routine before.

My gym is ridiculous. Here are some, but I can only find old vids. Everyone is even stronger right now

he weighs 180

weighs 200

weigh 160 and is in his 50s

strongman

This is the most impressive thing I’ve seen first hand.
