By the way, does anyone on this site go to T sites in other countries and trash them? Or do you know anyone that does? Then again, they all have such wonderful ideals, leaders, and are just a much better place to live in general. What the hell are we all doing here? Wow. I feel like moving to the UK for the food alone. And just think how much you would save on gas and taxes.

Did you actually watch the video? Your verbal rant doesn’t match the video.
You brought a very good informational piece, but your nonsensical post throws the meaning of the video off.

Every american should watch that video and vote accordingly.

Let me start by thanking you for pointing out my lack of spelling skills. I’m an extensive user of the dictioniry.

My “nonsensical post” was directed at those on this site that want to bash every aspect of US life from our government, military, taxes, citizens, and so on. Read some of the threads and perhaps you will catch my drift. Maybe not.

Placing the “meaning” of the video aside, my point is that everybody and their mother, brother, aunt and uncle are killing themselves to come to the states. And if the US is such a fucked up place, then why bother?

I deal with Brits every working day,(father born there, been there 30 times), and make 90% of my income from them, but it still makes me laugh that they take every shot they can at our country. Do I give a fuck about what is going on in GREAT Britian, or any other meaningless place on earth? I don’t stay up at night concerned with the goings on in Austria, Belguim, Sweden, or any other place.

If you do not like your role in that game , it is relatively easy these days to stand in the way of an Amercan bomb, so dont complain, dont feel left out, just move to Syria.

Given that the US has the strongest army in World’s history, it makes sense to move to the US if you fear the consequences of an American attack on their country.

It’s also a darn good land to live in. Freedom of speech is guaranteed, gas cheap and landscape variates. Taxes are pretty affordable and the milk to die for.

However, for reasons that should be by now apparent, I vowed not to set foot there anymore and I’m certain many of you will applaude my decision in this regard.

Now that’s a pretty hard stance to take. Wait until you are 40 or so and if you still feel the same way then do it. The world is a tough place and you are blaming the US for doing things other countries would be doing. It’s all a game and some some play it better than others.

Life is hard, and then…you die.

And as you say, the world is a though place. I am the product of a generation who marched among millions to rally to protest unnecessary wars, watched how consumer mentalities are shifting away from savage capitalism and supporting fair-trade, how Apartheid was defeated, the environment cared about, and most importantly, the way the whole world rallied around the US when it was hit in 9/11. Watching the US react to that shattered my dreams of a peaceful world.

Yes, I am blaming the US for doing things other countries have done back in colonialist days. When the majority was illiterate and communication means inexistent. Times have changed. We have international laws now.

There are certain misconceptions that are still persistent.

On the 16th of May 2003, I took a cab from a hotel in Casablanca. A few blocks later, I heard five quasi-synchronous explosions that killed more that 30 people and wounded several others. You can imagine my shock when I later realised the hotel I took the cab from was targeted.

Though all the targets were owned and frequented by foreigners, everybody immediately condemned the attacks. I cried when hearing of the London bombings.

The crushing majority relatives of “Islamist suicide bombers” see it as a disgrace. The problem is that you confuse that unlawful violence for ideological reasons with the struggle of the Palestinian and Lebanese against Israeli aggression. Those are not conditioned with the Quran or anything else to blow themselves up. Unlike the 9/11 kooks, the fight an enemy that is real and as deplorable as their methods are, I’m afraid it’s justified.

As long as you don’t see the difference between the people who oppose the Zionist regime and should not be amalgamated with the Islamists whose sole purpose is to die for God, you’ll continue to be mistaken about the numbers of the latter. I wasn’t joking though it’s obviously not the major reason. Unfair agreements, coercion and military interventionism contributed in wrecking many countries’ economies. That makes the prospect of living in the opulent U.S. of A. pretty tempting for many. Of course, the US is not responsible for every single problem the world has. But those sure wouldn’t worsen if they stopped acting like they own the planet.
