IM Injection Swelling?

I am using a 29gauge 1" needle for my test cyp injections and sometimes I get a goose egg for a couple days at the point of injection for a couple of days… Is this normal or am I going to deep or possibly not deep enough? It doesn’t always happen though.

Are you vigorously cleaning the injection site with an alcohol prep pad?

Also clean the top of the vial.

Deep is not the issue. There is some kind of immune response going on.

Possible that there is a bleed going on. If you press firmly on the injection site for 10-15 seconds after injecting, any cut vessels will seal off.

I found that technique lessens these occurrences.
