Good job Matty, 6/9 is fine work for your first meet.
yeah, 6/9 is great! if you got 9/9 you would be beating yourself up for not aiming high enough so 6/9 sounds pretty good to me! awesome vids, dude! so glad you had a great time. don’t forget to rest up now.
I dont know if I had ever seen you on video before, you are a pretty big motherfucker.
Congrats Matty! That was really great work and now you can brag about being an actual, real life powerlifter! I see that you’re already planning your next meet. You’re obviously hooked!
Out of curiosity and because I really don’t know, I thought that the point of the monolift was that you didn’t have to walk backwards after unracking it. Was it just habit for you or was everyone doing that?

Great job on losing your virginity!
Cheers AND applause from the audience! Told you no one would laugh! Great job!
When you say third out of four, was that in your weight class? Were you in a Novice division?
Thanks so much everybody, NOW ITS TIME TO START GETTING GOOD AT THE STUFF THAT COUNTS! As such I will be Benching and Squatting 3 times a week using a 5x5 method. I never really considered doing a PL meet until maybe a year and a half ago so my goals were all over the place now since the plan is to do 2 meets a year my main goal will be to become strong at these lifts. Not to say I wont do chins and other stuff but my lifting will definitely be more concentrated.
I really wanted to break some PR’s part of me thinks I should of tempered my enthusiasm and went for a higher total but most of me thinks I did it the right way, to succeed you must first learn to fail I guess.
On another note my legs are sore as fuck, I start again tomorrow.

Nope I was in the sub-masters 242 weight I believe
I actually chose to walk out of the monolift and told the Judges I wanted to do same, a few lifters did the same, It felt weird to squat from the same place where I lifted the bar.
Awesome, I really enjoyed watching all that. You mentioned your arms …they are HUUUOOUUGE !!
So great that you had a good time, your lifting will have even more meaning now.
Black is ummmm your color ![]()
Thanks Up…I was very self conscience about my singlet…not anymore lol!
Great performance Matty.
I see you were determined not to fail your squats on depth! LOL
Yeah your arms look like extra legs…only bigger!!

personally, I prefer to do military presses in a powerrack, seated. With an incline. If I’m to straight, i can’t bring the bar down. this way i can do more weight. and not have to worry about my balance.
Great job Matty was looking forward to seeing the results and was not disappointed. On to the next one.
