good lifting here Matty.
On the bb rows straddle a bench, put bar on bench and pull from there. Should be a lot less uncomfortable.

Smiley face indeed!
Curious, why do you find the BB Rows uncomfortable? Is it elbow pain or something?

Its weird, I can never get my hand placement right, and it irritates the shit out of my elbows if done overhand, Supinated is a little better but Im not sure if that grip is defeating the purpose.
I am gonna tear shit up in a few days!
Fuck BB rows.

Pendlay rows seem to not hurt-
but I try to do them with one set of bumpers
my elbow is all jacked up too- caught a clean funny today
getting o.l.d. and picking up big shit can suck

Would doing them with an underhanded grip have the same effect? It doesent bother me if I do bent over rows that way…my elbow were being very ghey today

have you tried eva rolling your triceps? whenever anybody talks about elbow irritation / tendonitis i suggest that because it magically cured mine… i was surprised. knotty triceps and round the back of the shoulder joint, too.
Thanks Alexus I will do that tomorrow before benching.

It was a bit hard to maneuver, I crossed my arm over my chest and rolled face down, it hurt like a MFer, but did the trick, actually my tri’s while just sore were the only muscles that wasnt fucking with me today.

Thanks bro, you as well. after the meet Im gonna keep it simple and do the Pendlay/Starr 5x5, There will be some modifications, Ill front squat once out of the 3 sessions, and add an MP/assistance day. They seem to work of off 80% in the intesification phase so Ill keep with that. It seems that this tried and true method will satisfies both my goals…strength and size.
Matty, any guy your size who can do 10 bw chin ups deserves respect!

The Mp day is done on Wedensday. No need for an additional day on that routine, if followed correctly you will not want to do any additional work --just eat. Front squat is done on Wed as well.
Actually in the Accumulation phase the working % is 80% and above while in the intensification/realization phase it is over 90%. Just an FYI.
How are you liking the Template Matty?
