Wow that was fucking awful, dude looked like he was having a seizure while spitting, not to mention his flow was absolutely terrible.
I don’t know why you think you’re part of some elite hip-hop crowd because you listen to shitty white rappers who have “meaningful” lyrics. Next you’re probably going to be telling people how The Cold Vein was the best hip hop album of the 2000’s.
OP is a pretentious douche, and that freestyle was mediocre and spasmodic. There’s more to good hip(ster)-hop than clever lyrics. If you have no sense of flow and your delivery sucks, then maybe the reason your fan base is so small isn’t just because your oh-so-cerebral lyrics are over everyone’s heads. Also, I’m not sure if you’re aware, but you know some of them black folk have dabbled in the hippity hop? Or would that not be obscure enough for you?
All that being said, there is no denying that mainstream hip-hop became vapid and commodified a loooong time ago, so I agree with your notion to an extent.

You sir don’t know what the fuck you are talking about. I agree that wake up show freestyle was kind of irritating, but Eydea has made a career of slaughtering some of raps heavyweights in freestyle competitions, most notabley Eminem. Eyedea was really talented.

Yea x3.
The reason they’re underground is because they don’t appeal to the masses. As 50 Cent would say, you want to make albums for you, fine, but keep that shit in your headphones, because nobody cares.

ITT We see the lower portions of the curve projecting every reason for not liking an artist in despite of said artist’s clearly and agreeably more impressive musical value. Go on talk more your proving my point.
And ps, the cold vein fucking blew despite El-P giving it some amazing production.
Edit: Actually I retract that, the LYRICS on the cold vein blew; the production was actually pretty fucking phenomenal and should be posted just because you made me give my 2 cents.

The only reason the freestyle was irritating was because you had to look at this kids pale, ugly, white, nerdy face - plain and simple. Why do you people think I’m posting fucking live shows? It goes to prove a point.

Jesus Christ I can’t even get over the stupidity of this comment. This is everything I was saying in my original post wrapped up in one idiot. Did you even HEAR that freestyle? I’m not trying to condescend here but can you even COMPREHEND the RHYME SCHEME he put together OFF THE TOP OF HIS DOME? And you say its terrible based off his “flow”?
No, your confused. There is no intrinsic, meaningful value in the lyrics here. What he have here is a rapper with more artistic merit than any of your favorite rappers.

What the fuck are you even talking about? Your English is so bad right here that I don’t know what you are even trying to say.
When I listen to music, all I care is if it sounds good or not. Not the lyrics, how it sounds. And none of the shit you are posting sounds good. I don’t care if they are freestlying about quantum mechanics, it still sucks.

Finally somebody brought up that point. Yes I’ll respond to this by informing you that this comment is inherently racist - which, if/when you realize this, will likely cause you to retract this entire argument in the realization that it is oxymoronical.
also define artistic merit for us

What are you fucking mentally deficient? Nigga, define that shit for your god damn fucking self.
Hint: If I gotta define it for you then you should just leave this thread now.

OHHHHHH NOW WE GET DOWN TO IT. My English sucks?! And its “Not the lyrics, how it sounds.”? Lets get to the point of what your saying, you DO NOT UNDERSTAND the English language. THAT is why my English sucks, and THAT is why you don’t want to hear these lyrics that fly sky high over your head. Wake up, you answer your own goddamn questions and finish your own goddamn arguments.
I don’t care if they are freestlying about quantum mechanics, it still sucks.
You wouldn’t know if they were freestyling about quantum mechanics unless somebody defined quantum mechanics for you and sat you down to read the lyrics in a room of silence.
I hope that’s a thread killer for you because your never ending stream of bullshit arguments lost its humor quickly.
ITT A bunch of people needing to look up the term “projection”.
