Icky!! Chalk On My Hands

That’s the question I have: I wanna get bigger first and foremost, and in accordance with that goal I put alot of effort into getting stronger. However, training powerlifting only is not what I’m about.

So, assuming that I train seriously and do go through the occasional strength-focused cycles, but still directly train arms and abs and such, how would a guy like me fit in at a place like that?

I wanna train at a place that bleeds intensity and focus and blasts heavy music, but because I’m not a powerlifter I don’t wanna get shit-talked behind my back.

What do you guys think, honestly?[/quote]

If you are focused and (intelligently) busting your ass, that is all that counts.

I finally got some pics of the gym. They are still painting things and getting the place fixed up. It looks a litte rough.

Here are the 2 Forza regulation benches

Got Wood?

DBs that go past 80 lbs!!

Basic pulldown, pullup and crossover station. The pec dec in the back is a good place to set wrist wraps and ammonia.

How many goodies are in this one photo?

Mono Rack
Chalk on Bar
Squat box
Speaker in face

Need to do power rack work, deads or oly lifts?

I got the MOST crooked flat top in the history of mankind. As soon as got home it was all buzzed off. :frowning: Look like it will be a month before I have another flat top. I think I’ll look for a barber near the Air National Guard base.

Yup, that is an awesome gym.

Btw, 4est you look a lot tougher with the buzzed look. I think that’s your new doo from now on.

Dude, where’s the aerobics room and swiss balls? Nothing but nonfunctional training.

Here are a 4 more pics from the gym on bench day. Too bad these were taken with a camera phone and totally suck.

Tony, a gym co-owner doing, 3 board presses. Terry, the other owner, is holding the boards and Curtis is spotting.

Cutis doing 3 board presses.

Tony’s daugher Melissa (114#) doing 2 board presses.

Cool thread 4est. Sounds like you are having a great time!

this is crap, I don’t want to read about your gym with all its hardcoredness as I prepare to hit the gym with a bunch of 150 lbs 20 years olds who spend the whole time doing curls in front of the dumbell rack…but congrats on finding a decent gym, my search continues.

Looks like a very cool gym. There is nothing like that where I live !!!
