Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of the day that I ripped (or, in retrospect, unsuccessfully tried to rip) Alywn Cosgrove’s article to shreds, hijacking the thread and starting a flame war, not to mention making a complete ass out of myself in the process.
I now regret this and feel like an idiot and an asshole for having done it. At the time I was annoyed by what I percieved as the uncritical “guru worship” of the authors on this site by its members, and I guess I wanted to show how smart I was by going against the grain and blasting everything to pieces. I was needlessly antagonistic to the point of arguing things that didn’t need to be argued and the whole thing was very unconstructive. I also had no idea what I was talking about and feel embarrassed about half of the stuff I wrote.
I won’t make excuses or try to explain myself. I was just a dipshit, and that’s it.
So at this time I officially concede and apologize- to the highly successful Mr. Cosgrove and everyone else who was annoyed by my crap.
I also recall taking similar jabs at a few other articles around the same time; I don’t remember which ones but I apologize to those authors, too.
It’s all good- at least you’re man enough to appologize one year later.
Have you ever been to a seminar where Alwyn spoke? I’d hate to talk shit to him in person. He’d rip us all a new asshole all the while cursing like a drunken sailor. He’d tell us we’re all fat.
Boy, that was a classic thread. It was one of the best articles I had seen for sometime, and then a massive flame war involving numerous strength coaches. Hell even Tate and Bob Youngs came out and posted. Good times, good times.

Anything that gets Dave to rant is definitely time well spent!
Bellierant, just for old times sake (a year is ancient on the internet right?), come back and agree with yourself, that was classic!
Now, I am going to forward this to a couple of friends of mine. One is a psychiatrist, the other an M.D. that specializes in sports performance enhancement.
With their collective knowledge, I’m sure they could figure out what to make of a nut like you.

Shit that was funny reading your praise to yourself. You must have started to sweat when you realised. My advice is to never have 2 girlfriends at once. You’ll crash and burn for sure.
