I could believe she’s natural. It’s not like she’s big, she’s just lean so her muscles are more pronounced.
And to those saying she looked much different a fews years ago, i would think that should be expected. If your physique is the same a couple years from now then you’re doing something wrong.
All the people saying they could believe she’s natural, take a look at her face. You can see the masculine side effects of AAS taking place. Even though not significantly, she does look a little less feminine.
That said though, huge props. She’s jacked and she’s winning, good for her. I have no problem with what she’s doing.

I think you’re wrong. How can you look at someone and determine juice? In your own post you state that the change isn’t significant. I’ve seen plenty of women with similar builds (broad back and thick neck) doesn’t mean they were on the juice.

But is it possible to have this kind of change after you have been training for years?

I agree with this. But she is jacked, came in 9th at the games in a very, very lean condition, so I’d look at this before her jawline or anything else on her face, which is probably just a side effect of being lean, before throwing out accusations. She is still very feminine though.
Check out the Gillian Mounsey chick that somebody posted before. Type in her name in youtube and the first autolink that pops is “Gillian Mounsey Steroids”, then find a video of her talking. Definitely sounds like a man.

So I’m guessing you determine juice by man-voice? That’s the kicker?
they certainly got her at her most jacked looking with the prowler shot. if you watch her move more generally (when her arms aren’t that pumped) she doesn’t look all that much different to before. she always did have fairly good arms / shoulders.
dunno.
still, it wouldn’t suprise me if people started juicing for the crossfit games. i mean… how much money do you win, again???

Touche. They win a quarter mil. Not shabby.
You win a quarter mil for winning the crossfit games? I need to start practicing.

Jeezus. That’s a big lump of dough.
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if folks were gaining an edge. That’s life changing status dough.
not sure about life changing… but that would buy you some training time for sure. if you could do other things… strongman or something… dunno… might be possible to eek out a living.
with respect to the neck as big as head thing… that happens to my neck when i squat or dead. i used to worry the wind would change and i’d get stuck like that, but guess i’m cool with it now. and i’m nowhere near close to her level of physique development. i dunno… i think sometimes people are too quick to judge that others are juicing. they do it to guys too, to be sure… but when it is a women then people are even quicker, i think. and of course the inevitable ‘she’s a man, really’ comments. i mean, c’mon, everyone knows that women shouldn’t really go all out with their training. if they do they turn into men, of course.
really would expect better attitudes on this site.
(this isn’t at all directed to the guy who started this thread. do they test for the crossfit games? they probably should given the prize money and given their stance on that, hey).

I don’t understand this thread anymore.

Only thing I said was that because of her voice, prior steroid use is a common accusation, hence being a top google search result.
I have no dog in the hunt, but enjoy the crossfit drama, especially now that it involves a big corporate sponsorship.

still talk bad about all those juiced up bodybuilders that don’t know the secret of real training??? I wonder if this is a physique built on 100% Paleo dieting and kipping pullups. Maybe a few well placed KB moves as well?
I’m not going to deny that this girl is a great athlete, I’ve seen videos of her from years past. But there is a “slight” physique enhancement going on and she is one of the Crossfit originals I believe. I have nothing against “physique enhancement”, however don’t shit in my pool and claim your turds don’t stink!! ( not sure if that makes sense, but you get my point)
The crossfit bullshit never floated with me anyways as far as credibility goes. So this changes nothing in my mind. Good for her for getting fucking jacked though. It seems to me she got too lean to perform optimally at the games.

You can look at a female and determine if anabolics are involved by a protruding orbital ridge (where the eyebrows are) and/or a broadened mandible (lower jaw) and/or a protruding Larynx (Adam’s Apple). Educate yourself you crossfit sympathizer.

There are people that take roids in my tested powerlifting federation where the prize money is $0. Its really for personal satisfaction yet people still do it even though they know their results will be tainted.
I’d be absolutely shocked if people weren’t juicing for the crossfit games.
Fuzzyapple.Train wrote:
So Crossfit isn’t a tested event? I’m surprised someone hasn’t called her out on it to contest if she really “deserves” the money or not.
I could care less if she wins juiced or not. People out there usually get butt hurt enough to give their two cents to call her out.
Was that directed at me?
If so, I have no idea if Crossfit is tested or not. But either way I’m sure there are people juicing there (no idea about this girl in particular).
