I Want to Kill People!

Okay this is a bit of a rant but I want to see what you people think about this little story. Recently I was at my job talking to this little bitch of a co-worker. He first went on to say how he has had problems with his performance in baseball and that he started lifting weights thinking it would help.

Long story short he says he’s not going to bother to do strength training because he sucks at it now and he will never get good at it. This is the part where everthing started quote, "Charming, ya know just fuck it all I don’t have the frame to lift weight I’m just too little, you know your lucky you got the frame and everything!

I bet you were always big and that when your first started lifting you benched 250." This is when I had to explain to him that strength training is not a walk in the park, it requires dedication, better eating and training habits motivation and so on. I then told him how when I first started lifting when I was 16 that I was just over 160Lbs and that I worked my ass off to get to my now present weight of 265 lbs.

I then went on to tell him that your not going to get results overnight it require times (HE TOLD ME HE WORKED OUT FOR TWO WEEKS AND HIS BENCH HAD NOT GONE UP AND NEITHER DID HIS WEIGHT… WOW!!!). After telling him this he went on to say, “Yeah, well it’s all genetics Charming, some people just won’t get anything out of weight lifting, I’m just one of those people so I’m gonna quit lifting.You know Charming, you got it easy you probably only goto the gym once or twice a week and get stronger, you probably don’t do half as much effort as I have been putting in for lifting.”

At this point I’m pissed because he’s pretty much saying I don’t have to do any hard work and gains magically appear for me so I finally tell him, "You know brett honestly I think you are a whinny little pussy that is looking for bullshit excuses and sympathy for why you aren’t actually putting effort into lifting.

I have worked my ass off to get where I am, I train 5 days out of the week and have two training sessions on the same day sometimes. IF YOU’RE GOING TO USE GENETICS FOR AN EXCUSE FOR SOMETHING USE IT FOR YOUR HEIGHT OR YOUR HAIR COLOR NOT WHY YOU ARE A LITTLE FUCKING PUSSY." That finally ended the conversation.

God why are people such little bitches always blaming genetics for their lack of effort, hard work, and dedication? Any people know someone who is to similar this bitch I work with?

this is exactly why people that have the dedication and the outright gall to strength train and to do it right and make it a way of life is a small and elite group.

we tend to forget that what we do is downright batshit crazy.
we destroy our bodies,starve ourselves,gorge ourselves,live every single day in the most pain that anyone could ever picture.
all to be stronger and better in the end.

have to remember that people in a whole do not understand it,hell I dont understand it all i know is I live it and cant live without it.

if your co-worker dont understand this then so be it it just goes to show that I am correct in my thinking that not everyone can live the way we do.
I know alot of people like this
infact most people are like this in my eyes.
they see themselves as nature made them,they think they can not be something beause they are not something .

personly I say screw nature shes a bitch,I am the one that makes me who I am.

If you were concentrating on your workout FULLY, you would not even notice anything…Your headphones on…focus and everyone else in the joint is a blurr.

Just let it slide and your stress level might come down.

To the OP: Next time just nod and agree with him. It’s all you can do, because he’s already quit in his mind, and doesn’t “need” weights. That’s fine for him, because he and all the other lardasses and walking sticks out there can be comfortable making excuses, while the minority of us aren’t.
