guys im basing my intermediatism (is that a word ? i’ll use it any ways…) on sites such as stronglifts5x5.com and rippetoes programs as i have completed stronglifts, rippetoes beginner and now can squat 2xBW and was therefore under the impression that im intermediate (i could be wrong). and just coz im 17 doesn’t mean i dont know stuff about training, it’s NOT like im 6"2 and weight 135 for christ’s sake lol
as i said this bullshit squabbling crap isn’t answering my question. i wanted to start a decent discussion about training for size after one’s strength is up to par (as i believe mine is) so that other 17 year old kids can find this shit out.
I’ve been doing a mix. I’ll go heavy 3-5 reps for my first exercise and then switch to 8-12 for the rest of my workout. Usually on a specific exercise I’ll have an idea of the rep range I’m trying to hit, but I’ll mainly go by feeling.
Correct Answer: “This is life so go and have a ball. Because the world don’t move to the beat of just one drum. What might be right for you, may not be right for some. You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have … my opening statement. Sit, Ubu, sit. Good dog.”
-Peter Griffin
There you have it. Big lifters train differently. You may see a lot of the same exercises, but you will usually see different rep schemes, exercise layouts, eccentric/concentric duration focus, sets, length of training time, weight, etc etc and so on and so forth. Especially at the early stages, its more so about eating enough. You follow 1 scheme too long, and yes results will slow, but that doesnt necessarily mean that your original regiment was bad, it simply means its time to change things up.
and thanks cprimero but im not looking for a magic bullet i just want to know which one of these proven methods (1 and 2) for mass is slightly better thats all i know there’s no such thing as the best thanks though.

X - how does it help for you to shit on people without answering questions? nards was giving his opinion and it made sense.
Can you imagine what a different forum would be like with reactions similar to yours here? A classroom; an office? Absolutely ridiculous.
Are you serious with this bullshit? There is a thread stickied to the top of the forum where this question and many others have been answered by me for the past half decade…but I’m not answering questions? All they have to do is READ the threads that we went through the trouble of posting clearly for the entire world to see.
So what are you talking about?
In a classroom, the kid who repeated 3 years in the 5th grade shouldn’t be the one teaching the class.
In an office, the guy who gets paid minimum wage to dump the trash shouldn’t be running the company.
In the gym, the guy who never got big and never trained anyone else to get big shouldn’t be giving advice about how to do it.
Get with a trainer who knows what he or she is doing and LEARN everything you can… The money you spend on a trainer will save you thousands down the road…

This site needs a “dumbass stubborn kids” section. Ive heard CountingBeans likes kids (not making it up, it was on the news). He’ll run it I’m sure.
