Sorry, seems I wasn’t clear enough. The reference document which lists all mental illnesses, ie the mental disorders that you may be diagnosed for, lists Intellectual Disability as one of the conditions.

To be diagnosed with Intellectual Disability you need below normal intelligence (75 would certainly come under this) and an inability to perform day to day tasks. A sub 75 doesn’t automatically mean you can’t function on your own but it typically does.

Come on, don’t over complicate things

You’re writing tl;dr walls of text over something so simple

Yes, as to Jewish. The process is extremely old. It’s actually international.

Go watch Fiddler in the Roof for the old school version.

I think a couple of other posters have also said they’re on the spectrum. It’d be cool to start a thread

At least I’m trying to be a “scientist “ now, the original plan was Russian studies :joy:
My mom’s still trying to get me to take physics

Much more practical course of study, unless you wanted to go work at the State Department.

I can’t 100% relate because I haven’t found a wife yet, but in a way, I can speak about this…

When I met the lady who was the one who took away my virginity, I knew I was gonna get laid that week after 20 seconds in the initial interaction with her. No joke. It felt almost like magic.

There’s a more to science than just physics. STEM degrees are great and we need more women. Do you have a particular field you want to work in? A degree in science is a pretty broad term. It helps to have a target.

behavioural science :joy:
I’ve never been math inclined- my school has an amazing program

If its something you like, then you’ll do well.

Yea I’m gonna say that’s a little bit different

I don’t consider myself good at STEM, yet I never have nor do I currently consider myself mathematically or scientifically inclined. Is it my only passion? No, and probably not even my biggest one.

People have this notion that they need to be super passionate about and/or extraordinarily talented at their major or career choice, and imho that simply is not true and could even be a downside.

I will say, however, I’m very pleased to be in STEM today and not 10+ years earlier. Gender gaps unfortunately still run rampant, but the situation is much better than it was even a little while ago.
