Alrighty took most of December of then yesterday decided to do a mini meet in the basement with the guys.
Warmed up in squats and my knees and hips feel better from all the mobility work I’ve done, but my quads feel weak as hell. Only squatted 225 and missed 250 twice.
Bench: Warm up went fine, no shoulder pain. Did 160 and felt ok on it, not strong enough to push much more than that. Back can’t stay tight and I generally lack strength.
Deadlift: At this point my cousin is beating me as he squatted 250 and benched 180, but he only deadlifted 285. I did 365 and claimed the pathetic victory!
My total=750

Do you plan on moving up in weight soon?

I’m doing my best to gain weight yes. I’m fighting the flu right now which is pissing me off.
I hate to make excuses because we all know the secret to gaining weight=eat more, but it seems like something always undoes whatever progress I make. But I squared away my hips and knees and am ready to do some volume and gain some damn weight. My goal is to compete at 165 sometime this year… and actually weigh 165.

I will not settle for anything less than a 300 squat, a 200 bench, and a 400 deadlift by this time next year.

Tonight I start 5/3/1 again after my December layoff.
I don’t do New Year’s resolutions, I find the whole concept sort of ironic. In my opinion if it meant a lot to you you wouldn’t need a special occasion to go do it.

I did the set of 12 by taking a breath, do a triple, retake breath, repeat.
It was really shitty, but I could really feel bracing into my belt.
Front squat- 5x10 with 95 pounds. Felt good, got tired around 6 everytime.
Hex dumbbell hold- 20 pounds. In three tries I did 8,10,36 seconds. It was awkward learning how to hold it, and I had to use chalk to keep it from slipping. This will help a lot and my right hand would’ve been good for longer. Damn left hand!

It is. I promise. I do (whatever day it is) set 1, sets 2, set 3 for reps, repeat set 1 for reps.
It just looks weird because I write down every goofy ass warm up set with me trying to get into position and get ready to go.

Worked yesterday moving furniture at the hotel again. Last time I worked there 7 hours and got 50 dollars. This time I only worked 4 hours, but I basically ran the show for them and it was a legit 4 and a half hours with no breaks. So I got 42 dollars. They like me over there and I hope they have to move more stuff soon.
Then that evening I went to Great Wall buffet for dinner and ate 4 plates of food! Good stuff!
