I Need to Vent, V-Diet

Im sorry but the V-Diet is turning me out to be a monster. Ive been depressed, weak and flt like i have not lost enough in a he period of time doing this. I feel like this diet is punishment for Fat people . It’s like you deserve to starve because your fat. If you dont have a body like Jessica Biel or Jessica Simpson or Carmen Diaz, then you should starve and think about all the bad things you’ve eaten. Week 3 has bought nothing but heartache and pain. everytime my father brings fruits and veggies in the house i get sad i wanna just go and hide. or every time my skinny boyfriend eats a bowl of cereal i start to feel tears in my eyes i cant take this anymore. everyone says they notice a major change in me but i still feel fat and ugly and like i have not acheived anything.

I never felt like I was starving myself while on my V-Diet. I mainly felt really weak. Ghandi weak. Pink dumbbell weak. Anyways you gotta start being positive or you’ll drop out. As for you still feeling fat and ugly, in short its self image dysmorphia. No matter what anyone tells you, it won’t change. i know because I’m the same way. I still see the fucking fat kid in the mirror and it sets me off but it motivates me to train and diet harder. Try that.

I drink 4-6 of those fuckin shakes WITHOUT ANYTHING IN THEM a day AND i take the 3 HOT-ROX a day! along with the fish oil fiber and flax. SO DONT YOU DARE SIT UP HERE AND TELL ME I’M DOING THE “INTERPRETATION” OF THIS DIET. Regardless of how you’ve followed the diet, it’s not for fat people I don’t care what anyone says.

Agreed. This diet is most definitely not for people with a significant amount of weight to lose. It is analagous to the get shredded diet in that respect. This is something to do when you hit 10% BF and want to get into single digits.

People with a lot of weight to lose need to first learn how to eat properly. Simply switching to healthy food for 90% of your meals will cause a great % of weight to drop.

No one said this diet was easy. This is a 4 week diet - not too long in terms of diets if you ask me.

Can someone explain to me the V-Diet? Sounds just like a vegan diet. Am I missing something?

You can search for more info on it - Chris Shugart came up with it.

Basically you have nothing but protein shakes, fiber supps, and EFA supps for 4 weeks. One solid meal a week. Pretty low cal.

Shugart molded and refined the diet to perfection (or damn close to it). However, most people forget that they just don’t do the diet alone, there’s also a workout regimen. If you don’t do the workout regimen included with the diet, there’s going to be problems. Then again, if you don’t do the diet correctly, what’s the point of the workouts?

Lexee, you fucked up. You did your own interpretation of the diet for whatever your reasons were. I don’t know all the modifications that you’ve done (from what I understand NewDamage listed them), but I do know that you shouldn’t’ve done that. As for the workouts, big mistake there too. The diet goes hand in hand with the workouts, but you’ve not done them either. You’ve done cardio, you’ve only worked out 2 days a week, etc.

No one said this was going to be easy. To me, you seem like someone who will never be happy with their physique, and that’s not a good thing. You took an already extreme diet and made it even more extreme because you lacked the patience and humility to let time and effort take effect. If you can’t handle what you’ve done to yourself, then you should stop.

I can’t help but think that you’re only hurting yourself more than you’re helping.

Yes, you’re right. It’s so nutritionally unsound that I lost 25 lbs of fat, increased strength, and feel better than I have in years after completing the 6 weeks (including transition)on the Velocity Diet.

Wait, how am I a hater? Being a hater implies that I’m jealous of the progress you’ve made and try to downplay it so I can make myself feel better about what little I have done.
