Get yourself a horse Joe. You’d kick ass. (or arse as I would say)
Are horses allowed?
How do you decide who dies? Is there a scoring system or do you just retreat when you’re too injured to carry on?
Insurance won’t let us use horses as the fatalities would skyrocket. Bastards…
There is a scoring system. Basically there is a level of force that disables limbs and causes “death” when applied to the torso or head. Despite people wearing all types of armor we are assumed, for scoring purposes, to be wearing the same type of armor. Its on the honor system though so some people need to be hit harder than others.
As for some people needing to be hit harder than others, … was skimming through that vid, one guy got what i would call, whalloped on the head with an obviously fairly well weighted sword, and stumbled to his knee a sec, but jumped right back into it,… sheesh, talk about hard-headed. I woulda said, ‘ok, you got me, where’s my lemonade and lawn chair?’
Everytime I watch you DL I wonder how those baggy sweatpants don’t drive you crazy. Don’t they get in the way? I can only DL in shorts. Maybe it’s psychological, but I feel like anything on my legs causes friction and, thus, more work.

Yes they drive me crazy but my gym is a no chalk gym so I have to sneak it in and can’t chalk my legs. If I don’t chalk it the knurls on the bar cut up my thighs and they freak out about the blood. My gym is run by people best left on the fainting couch.

In the vid, it looks like you’re chalking up at the beginning, but if the gym doesn’t allow chalk, are you just wiping your hands?
If you’re bothered by baggy pants, have you looked at wearing something tighter? My sweats are fairly tight and work just fine.
I use chalk from an eco bar. Its harder to see if its just on my hands but if I was chalking my thighs it would be obvious. I haven’t found tight sweats that didn’t make me look like a tool. I guess I’ll keep looking.
