Leaping Lizards!
That was some excellent work on the dips.

Joe, four plates is AWESOME! I did not think those were ugly reps. They look much like my reps with a tiny 35 lb. plate.

Sadly Kimba, thats only 3 45lbs plates. But hopefully I’ll hit 4 plates soonish.

you rockstar! look at those dips:)
and yes jumping into a forbidden ruin is a dumbass move. I would have crapped my pants at seeing the bats and lizards.[/quote]
In retrospect it was really very fun but at the time when you are being chased by an army of angry lizards it was kind of scarey.

Thank you sir, I’m hoping it has some carry over somewhere else but they are kind of fun.

So this is a little less than three months away. I keep trying to find reasons not to do it but I think I’m just going to suck it up and send teh form in.
Advice?
Send in the form! I’ll be following your training very closely. I keep thinking I’d like to do a meet sometime. You’re putting up some great numbers.
Arab (with a long A) is near here. I’m going to try and make it. If not to compete to cheer you on(embarass you) and take some vids. Didn’t even know there was a 259 class til I saw your link. Train hard now.

That would be great, but hopefully I will be to compete. I’d hate for you to waste a Sat. on my account.

The racks were packed so I couldn’t get video until the second set at 295. The 265 pull was ugle because my foot slipped a bit but it came up solid. I think the form in the video is an improvement over last week so hopefully my pulling is coming back after the lay off.
back was less rounded- good job Joe.
and send the form - you have a nation of cheeleaders 'round here ![]()

Never be a waste, be a priviledge. Hey, I can be the guy who slaps you around, sticks ammonia capsules up you nose, yells at you right before you lift. Just to get you fired up, of course. Sounds like fun to me.

Clearly math is not my strong suit. You should see how long it takes me to add up plates in between sets.
BTW, I thought your back looked much better on the deadlifts. I saw you really trying to keep it straight.
Thanks guys, I need to read up on commands and fornats.

Mice DB pressing. Bench may have felt weak but the numbers look really good from my perspective.

I want to see the mice DB pressing. (sorry Wilson, I couldn’t resist)
Hey Joe watch out on the dips. Cause if you promise not to get any stronger, I’m going to catch you in about 2 or 3 years. 135x2 is a lot!
Thanks Carl,
Okay now for a dumbass question.
How far out froma meet do you guys start thinking about your openers and how you are going to scale your attempts?
i dunno. every time I try to go to a meet, my son ends up having a swim meet. Ive never gotten close enough to consider openers.
Those were some good looking deads. Just remember chest up shoulders back. Maybe get a bit lower to do that.
