I Don't Know How I Should Feel or What to Do

You could. Address thyroid later if you need to do so.

that was my plan. altho, do you think t3 could cause all my hormonal issues?

I do not. I think the odds are better that TRT will help you enough that you may forego thyroid meds, at least for a while, than the other way around. In other words, if I’m you, and the option was one or the other, I’d do test.

In your case, I do not think addressing both is unreasonable. You’re entitled to have more than one thing wrong.

As it stands now your current doctor is of no use to you, it’s time to find another doctor regardless of what you choose to do next.

TSH is known to be unreliable and free T3 represents what’s going on at the cellular level, so your doctor is chasing the unreliable marker instead of the more reliable marker.

My tsh is 5 something. I have read that a bad thyroid can make one have low T and vice versa. You’re low t could of messed with the thyroid … I know why I have Low t. It’s due to medicine I was taking …

I started iodine a few days ago. Tri-Iodine (has potassium) with selenium.

My next test I’m running a fill thyroid test and will get my iodine levels tested. If possible.

I don’t know if my body has been so deprived of T for so long and that’s why it’s tsking for me to feel any benefit 7 weeks in or my thyroids fudged up or e2 = high.

If I had paid attention I would of worked on healing my thyroid day 1. I suggest you do same.

hey thanks for taking your time to reply. yeah i noticed im entitled to have a wrecked pituitary gland lol. i’ll end on getting testosterone to end this misery and if something bad comes up, ill ask the doc.

the feeling cold all the time. the constant urinating, the dry skin are getting worst.

thanks system! yeah I’m going to keep searching. maybe ill call defy too to check if they can work with any labs in my area (i already asked, but ill ask again). if not im searching for good endos in new york or california. or if i have to fly to boston to go to mayo clinics and get this stuff done ill do it. the thing is, i keep seeing reviews from doctors and never see anything thyroid or testosterone related.

in fact, ive seen bad reviews of people commenting about what you said. focusing on tsh when they have hashimoto or other stuff going on. (i have to admit i dont know much about thyroid)

i just wonder and like highpull says, i might increase t3 by increasing testosterone or weight since im underweight.

Ya no clue I think your just at a point where you need some real guidance. My emails in my profile. Send me an email and I’ll give you contact to the some of the best guy out there. Check this video out.

thanks mate!

@charlie12

I read a lot about the articles you sent before starting trt. tried things listed but still feel the same. what do you suggest? any opinions? also @systemlord what do you think? is trt the only thing remaining for me?

If this is my only option ill just go the private route. thanks @highpull for replying!

TRT is it, there is no magical pill to restore your broken HPTA. No amount of meditation or wishful thinking will work. Of course TRT won’t work with those who have low thyroid hormones.

so instead of posting about my labs in another thread i decided to post it in mine (so i dont interfere with the other posts) they were talking about acth and cortisol.

(continuing about the convo in the other thread)
@charlie12

already did 3 acth all from 44-66. cortisol am 18 now and have seen it at 24. for cushing i think it needs to be wayyyh higher tho

hello guys. so endo just emailed me asking if i could get an appointment with a geneticist to check glucorticoids.

Sounds like you have good medical professionals around you who are willing to check multiple avenues without you having to make demands.

As far as the glucocorticoids, are they checking for an autoimmune problem or something?

@jpt365 hey thanks for replying. few things, so i went to an uro and he prescribed me with 12.5 daily of clomid for 6 weeks and retest. he wants to check total t, lh fsh and estrogen. if estrogen skyrockets he mentioned ai. i wonder if this is enough testing after 6 weeks? i will probably add free t and shbg (ask another doc for it). he said im too young for trt and that i should try clomid. i do have my doubts testing this but bleh ill go for it. after this i can pretty much say i tried everything. scratch the glucorticoides. endo wante to tests if its related to genetics or not. did you buy any chance took SSRI? i went to a depression, anxiety clinic because of terrible ocd and i had to went and make the decision to try lexapro to clear my mind and make proper decision. now my biggest doubt is taking lexapro and clomid at the same time. i dont know if clomid will work because lexapro might cause sexual dysfunction. i talked this with endo and said i should take clomid to see if it works, but other docs says i need lexapro … also ssri tends to increase prolactin and imo it might make the tumor secrete prolactina?

@systemlord @highpull @charlie12

what do you guys think of this?

Just an update and will appreciate any advice from latest labs.

I have done several testosterone labs in the past and already diagnosed with hypogonadism. my geneticist wanted to check several labs, but i don’t have all the usual hormones included.

labs that i saw low/high,

IGF-BP3 2001 range 2683-6127
pyruvic acid, blood 0.1 range 0.3-0.7
bun 27 range 7-25
ast 41 range 7-39
alt 50 range 7-55
globulin 1.90 range 2.00-4.50
total protein 6.50 range 6.40-8.90

white blood count 4.04 range 4.50-11
red blood count 4.19 range 4.50-5.90
hemoglobin 13.90 range 14-18
hematocrit 41.10 range 41.50-50.40
MCV 98.10 range 80-96

indirect bilirubin .95 range 0-.50

total cortisol am 19.59 range 6-18.40
total cortisol pm 10.19 range 2.68-10.50 (this was taken after working out)

is there anything weird with my numbers? i have seen my T in the 200’s several times and also have seen it in the 100’s

my biggest doubt is cortisol. cortisol reduces testosterone right? i workout 3 days per week lifting weights and 1 day cardio.

should i just quit exercise to see if cortisol reduces and that could make my t recover to normal levels?

Cortisol is stress related. Quitting exercise would probably result in higher cortisol, not lower.

are you sure? having low t is already stressful + having anxiety outside the gym + the stress that the gym puts in our body= unable to recover well resulting in higher cortisol lower t?

You are an anxious dude. Exercise mitigates stress. Physical stressors are different than mental and emotional stress. Exercise serves to help balance hormones and move that blood, being sedentary is deadly. Wearing yourself out a little physically may raise your C reactive protein number a little, but it will lower your cortisol overall.
