That’s because I consider romantic Something I would only to with a girl. Romantic with a guy, actually just got shriveled typing that…
I guess u interpret romantic differently. Romantic to me involves sexual feelings, intimacy.

Alright, seems like semantics. Carry on. ![]()
@jpt365
hey mate i have two questions.
So i went to the therapist with my “stressor” and my therapist finally explained to her about testosterone and ocd and atleast now shes more clear about it. still, im visiting her once every 2 weeks or so ;/ she said if someone cancels it could be once a week. she told me to work with this book Imgur: The magic of the Internet and like before, to take 3 ocd and reduce it slowly until atleast i do them once. right now i have the 1) bedroom one, which when i go to bed or wake up in the middle of the night i need to check my bed and parts of my room to see if its how i want it to be and repeat this several times. 2) if i clean one part of my body I HAVE TO DO THE SAME for the other part or if i move one part i need to move the other or if i go to bed i have to do the same stuff with both parts 3) get to bed and do everything once and go to sleep even if anxiety rises. probably i will fall asleep. not need to find the best comfy spot.
sounds weird eh? this are only three of like freaking 30 ish ocd i have lol.
anyways. im stuck with this 3 ;( i someday reduce them but then other days it gets worst and cant manage to reduce it. what to do?!
my therapist never replies to emails :(.
i also have a doubt. people say they feel tired in the morning or all day. i actually feel more”energized” at night than during the day. i can easily fall asleep at any time of the day tho i remember driving at 1pm and falling asleep even when i did not had the ocd too severe.
@charlie12 you can chime in if you want
@NH_Watts you too if you have opinion ![]()
Dude. I fully support you. And am very happy you are getting help.
We need people that are worriers in life too. Of course you need to bring it Down a few notches. ![]()

If you think stop training will help, you can Take a couple months off. Mental health is so much more important. Most people don’t train anyhow.
thanks a lot! yeah im thinking of maybe dropping training all together because it might actually be impacting my T since stressing my body in the gym + overall life stress might be releasing too much cortisol. dont know
also don’t know exactly if they test this, but im going to ask for a GnRH test next appointment.
Sorry to hear that your therapist isn’t responding up your emails, that’s rough. Sounds like you have a lot of compulsions. It’s going to take some work, but the good news is that you’ll be able to cut these down with time. Some days ARE going to be harder than others and you’ll feel like you’ve relapsed at times. Don’t get depressed, it’s part of the process.
Right now your brain is simply “stuck” on repeat. It needs the pattern it has built with these compulsions, it’s like an addiction. Your brain is your friend and is actually trying to protect you with these compulsions. It thinks “the dangerous feelings seem to go away when he does this action, so I’ll tell him to do it all day long.” When you stray from the compulsions, expect your anxiety to rise, this is going to happen. The more you practice, the less the anxiety will be there. You just started, give it time.
You could stop weight training if you want to, listen to your body. It sounds like it might be telling you it’s tired. I stopped training for 4 months. I was burnt out and simply needed a break. In the ten years before that I had never taken a week off consistently from training. Take time for yourself, start meditating, it truly helps. Light exercise like walking will help too.
It might be that at night you’re just noticing how wired you actually are because the world around you has slowed down. People with anxiety and depression experience the phenomenon of being “tired but wired.” Meaning you feel like absolute shit and want to sleep but you can’t. You’re probably filled with adrenaline from the OCD.
Not sure if you watched this yet but please do. It will make you feel much better.
Lastly, I’m not familiar with the book your therapist recommended, but I’m sure it’s good. It’s ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), try it out and see if it helps. If it doesn’t, then there’s still quite a bit you can do. Don’t give up!
@jpt365
hello! thanks a lot for your time to answer. yeah it might be, I usually get exhausted when i know I have to deal with an ocd like going to shower for example. during that moment i get depressed (I’m working on this to enjoy the time spent there and reducing that time i take to shower. I won’t give up!
). I always tend to get happy when going to eat hehe. I haven’t watched the video, will try to watch it and let you know for sure. i also got an appointment with my endo on the 28. will keep you guys updated. once again, thanks for your time!
update.
went to the gastro with labs and told me everything was fine. still dont know why high shbg. he even said t3 is fine (1.8) and that tsh is what i should focus, but i dont blame him. its a gastro. atleast he said we should inject every 3 days and not once every two weeks.
psyquiatrist called for first appointment this friday. im actually scared because i didnt wanted to end up taking meds (prozac or wellbutrin?) for ocd. yesterday was hard for me and everyday i have suicidal thoughts and gets worst. i will tell him everything and see what’s up.
what do you guys recommend asking? also endo appointment is on the 28.
im scared of meds because of what i read around here about them.
the only thing i have yet to eliminate from diet that increase shbg is peanuts but damn peanut butter is bae
You high SHBG could just be genetics, therefore you won’t find anything in lab testing. I don’t agree with your doctor that you should focus on TSH, this is wrong. Most doctors are idiots and believe low normal T3 is fine just because it’s within ranges.
T3 1.8 without ranges provides no context, at this point I don’t know if 1.8 is midrange or low.
Free T3 is below the reference ranges, how can your doctor say with a strait face that Free T3 is fine? It seems like the lower TSH is overriding your doctor judgement on the below ranges Free T3.
TSH is a poor indicator of thyroid status, your doctor should know better.
Hypothyroid patients often experience anxiety and depression, OCD is driven by anxiety.
@systemlord
i do not blame him because he’s a gastro and not endo or uro and purely believes in tsh and not the other ones. but endo saying no to t3 and yes to tsh? yeah i’ve seen it happened. i wonder what my endo will say about t3. HECK i wonder what she will say when i tell her i don’t eyaculate to freeze sperm. never mentioned hcg or clomid. i got her cornered with that
lets see what she says.im refusing not freezing sperm or testicle shrinkage.
Sadly this is how they were originally taught, now we know better and still doctor live in a state of ignorance.
he said my estradiol of 5 is good in men. lol below it says below 10 is menopause. i still wonder how can i increase estradiol i know low testosterone cause this but damn so low?
Watching something the other day and doc said thc and alcohol makes it hard to manage e2 I his trt clients… it fks with e2. Get stoned …
A lot of alcoholic drinks are estrogenic but so is marijuana. Gynecomastia: Etiology, Diagnosis, and Treatment - Endotext - NCBI Bookshelf
This is probably the most concerning, I’m glad you’re going to talk to your psychiatrist about it. If you have an intent to harm yourself or a plan please get help immediately. Sounds like you’re future oriented though since you want help, this is good.
Not sure what your doctor is smoking if he believes an estradiol of 5 is good.
Just wanted to be clear that this is true, OCD is fueled by anxiety, anxiety makes OCD symptoms worse. BUT OCD is also independent of anxiety and does not fall under the anxiety disorder umbrella any longer. After new research, OCD was found to be seperate from anxiety disorders and the DSM5 has been updated to reflect this change.
My wife takes rantidine. Any alternative
Im not sure @charlie12. A question for @physioLojik or the pharmacist @tontongg.
