Hey, I was just informed that someone on another site was bashing the “I, Bodybuilder” program before it’s even been released.
Brilliant.
Anyhow, the naysayer is a guy whose articles I rejected, so I think he’s got a bug up his ass towards me and Biotest. (Think of the Glenn Close character in Fatal Attraction and you’ve got him pegged.)
Anyhow, unbeknownst to me, someone posted a link to the site, and there were a number of posts in response here on the T-Nation forum.
I chose to delete it because this guy is literally trying to take bread of my (our) mouth.
In fairness, I think you’d want to see the program first before you chime in on it.
I thought i did a good enough job of offering another route
But it is YOUR site and as i have no way of contacting you, thank you for all the free articles and the ability to get help off loads of people.
Appreciated
And my favorite story:
There is an old story which goes;
"There’s a little boy and on his 14th birthday he gets a horse… and everybody in the village says, “how wonderful. the boy got a horse”
And the Zen master says, “we’ll see.”
Two years later The boy falls off the horse, breaks his leg, and everyone in the village says, “how terrible.”
And the Zen master says, “We’ll see.” Then, a war breaks out and all the young men have to go off and fight… except the boy can’t cause his legs all messed up. and everybody in the village says, “How wonderful.”
Damn, got the Big Dog to make an appearance on a Saturday night, to be honest I was amazed it lasted as long as it did.
If you’re hanging around for a while, is something going on with the server, the posts in the Brotherhood of Iron are taking 2 hours + today, have we behaved that badly in there ?
You mean you won’t let just anyone diddy-bop into your place of business and spew all manner of nastiness towards you, your employees, associates and products?
Just as a heads up, the thread is still active although the first half is gone. Most of the views they say are being censored are already viewable in the thread following the product article…
Anyone that references Casey Butt in their article, like his research is actually representative of the population, instantly loses some points on the credibility scale.
Plus I’m fed up with the “science” v. “Bro-science” bullshit. (I made the mistake of reading comments on that page.) Can’t we all just make big muscles how we see fit and be done with it?
Saying that he was bashing the I, Bodybuilder program is nothing short of dishonest. No one bashed the program, either here or on Lyle’s site. What they bashed were the CLAIMS that I, Bodybuilder + Anaconda (or ANY program + supplement) can produce gains FAR exceeding those of steroid-using professional bodybuilders.
If author X wrote that fish oil can cure cancer, and author Y criticized that position, does that mean that author Y was bashing fish oil? No, it means he was bashing the claims.
Nice TC. T-Nation is the place i rely on for my bodybuilding information needs, who gives a fuck what others say. You had every right to delete it, cos we dont need it here. Well done son. Fight the power!
That article did not bash I, Bodybuilder. It simply questioned the, IMO, outrageous claims. Plenty of people questioned them, there’s nothing wrong with skepticism.
When you make such bold and massive claims, you must surely know people are gonna seriously question them.
I’m more than happy to be proven wrong. But as it is, I’ve SERIOUS doubts about how true those claims from the program are.
As have I Diamond, as have I. But you know what? I agree with the move to delete the thread.
Also, I am not in any way surprised or angry about the claims made in the marketing. Every. single. company. ever. makes. massive. claims. And not just in the supplement business. I can instantly name about 20-30 different commercials outside the fitness industry I’ve seen do the same thing. It’s marketing and it’s called that for a reason. I have no problem with any of the ad copy I’ve ever read from Biotest to date.
Also at the same time, and completely aside from the marketing in general,I have no reason to Thib’s personal experience either…regardless of what happens for the majority of people who will use the program. He’s given a rough breakdown of exactly what he estimates happened, and where each and every pound came from, and that makes sense to me.

The “average person” does not train with any high level of intensity…so holding the opinion that most or all people using some sort of program/supplement will all see optimal progress…as if their own drive in the gym isn’t the BIGGEST factor in any progress made…makes no sense.
Most of the people here who look like they don’t lift look this way because they train like the other people I see in the gym who don’t even break a sweat. The people with the drive to push beyond that are ALREADY GROWING to begin with and won’t be waiting on a program to somehow do all of the work for them.
I don’t expect that even a small minority here can train on a level that CT does. They just don’t have it in them to push that hard without someone telling them what to do…so why would anyone hold that most people should see the same progress when the primary factor that determines progress is their own drive to begin with?
Anyone waiting on this to “save them” and anyone not growing on their own right now is a lost cause to begin with.

noone has mentioned the ’ An Objective (!) Comparison of Chocolate Milk and Surge Recovery’ article so far… [/quote]
That’s because it’s shit. I’ve used both. One is far and above superior to the other…and I can feel the difference. Besides, is someone REALLY going to argue that the high fructose corn syrup is a superior source of carbs to dextrose/malto, or even a good source of carbs to begin with??? That’s lunacy. Besides, milk doesn’t have 6 grams of BCAAs in it.
