Oh, so you’re saying your defense sucks then. You need to work on your D, brah.
I shot a can of Dinty Moore from a mile after some shady guys told me there was a plot on the president. After few days of running from every law enforcement agency in the country, I crashed at my dead buddy’s wife house.
Her and a suspended FBI agent helped me uncover the plotters and deliver good ole frontier justice. It was a busy few days.

As a child I learned (a little later than I should have) you don’t back down from a fight. Obviously as an adult, different rules apply. In most cases, as a man, you need back down for legal and financial reasons.
There are times, though, as a man you do need to be willing to fight and I think there are cases on the road where it could be necessary. If someone comes up on my car and I’m stopped at a light or in traffic, I’m not going to sit there defenselessly hoping the asshole has restraint. Anyone remember the pummeling Kurt Busch took a few years ago from that thug, neverwas driver, Jimmy Spencer?
Once I’m out of the car, I’m not about to run away or anything like that. I will back off if I can do it gracefully, but if a guy keeps coming and he’s irate or just simply looks like he means business, I’m going to start throwing and I’m going to do my best to make sure I throw first.
I think it’s interesting a year or two ago there was a video discussed on here showing some guy (possibly) accidentally hitting some other guys girlfriend. It wasn’t a hard hit or anything, it was more or less incidental contact. The girls boyfriend was a trained fighter and he went off and kicked the shit out of the two guys. In that case almost everyone on this board said he did the right thing - even though it may have all been over an accident that they could have easily walked away from. Yet, in this case everyone is saying you’ve got to walk away and the op was in the wrong.
Btw, the OP’s unwillingness share the details makes me think he probably was in the wrong, but I’m just saying, it could have been justified.

I remember it, it was quite obvious the girl got hit on purpose. Boy, didn’t they get what they deserved! I’d like to see that again.

I was severely disappointed that he didn’t kick the shit out of them while they were down.
As anyone could have predicted, the two thugs got back up and followed the guy and his girlfriend into the bushes.

I wish the OP would give us the story. Guys sometimes there is no other option than to fight, obviously if both of them got out of their cars that wasn’t the case but still . . .
I can promise you I will always throw the first punch too if I think it’s going to come to blows. If some pissed off guy comes running at you intent on violence, you’re either gonna have to hit him or get hit.
Thats the truth. I would rather hit than be hit any day. I think taking a first hit can be justified if the guy who is coming at you cant or wont be reasoned with. Why wait for him to hit you when you know its coming?
But situations like this can get crazy real fast. I read an article about Detroit’s homicide rate. In Chicago some years ago, that city had a murder rate which outdid Detroits. But the police there knew who to go after, because most of the killings there were gang related.
So they went after the gangs and the murder rate fell. But in Detroit they dont know who to go after, because most killings start off in situations like the OP posted. Two people get into an argument, oft times over something insignificant, neither wants to back down, the argument gets heated, a fight starts, someone grabs a gun and someone is lying dead or maimed. Sometimes they skip the fight and go straight from heated argument to gunshots.
So unless the Detroit cops can have officers on every street corner monitoring everyone 24/7 and we all know thats not practical, then the rate will remain the same.
I would LOVE to hear the freaking details of this story!
I tend to say remarks off the cuff, look weirdly at people doing wierd shit, etc. and I have been in a few run-ins and been arrested and on trial for a low % of the said run-ins.
I try to not fight now because too many times somebody has been fucked up and needed medical attention/surgery and I end up having to pay attorneys. Luckily it has not been me getting surgery but I did take a blind shot pint glass to the eye/temple (numerous stitches). You find out it affects more people than who is taking direct shots.
That said, I haven’t be in a fight in a couple years albiet some close calls but as long as nobody puts their hands on me I can remain pretty rationale.
You live and learn. I try to mind my own but am more than willing to defend myself and my valuables (people or otherwise).
I am thinking that the OP may not want to help incriminate himself by posting his story but I would like to hear it.

The OP just pm’ed me this:
"Sen, I need your help bra. I am having a crisis and I can think of no other man better equipped to help me in my time of ned.
Not only do you have the biggest squat, bench, dick and deadlift on teh entire world wide interweb, but your verbal eloquence is unmatched by anyone inlcuding, but not limited to DB, Analog_Kid, Zap or anyone else that anyone thinks is more eloquent than you.
I would like to contact you and explain to you the freaking details of my story and then have you write my story.
Please reply with contact info, so I can get my story out their.
Your admirer,
The OP"
Needless to say, I have sent the OP my contact info, and will get back to you once I have all the freaking details.

As an Adult I back down because I’m a fucking Adult who knows that the idiot that is annoying me is not someone I have to see again. As an adult I back down because I know that people get stabbed and shot over bullshit. As an adult I back down because I have a 2 year old girl that i want to see become an adult.
