I counted two interruptions in 45 seconds, and heard a distinct tone of condescension and forced amiability from Couric. Palin’s crossed arms indicated that Couric made her feel defensive. Contrast Couric’s behavior toward Palin with that of the rest of the media’s fawning over Obama, their glossing of relationships with unsavory characters in his life, and their mindless repetition of Obama’s “hope” drivel.
I’ve seen plenty of other Couric interviews. In this video, she interviews Obama and McCain. To be fair, she did get tough with Obama on the surge, but the smile present in the Obama interview was gone in the McCain interview. Her tone was decidedly different as well:
Here’s part II of her Obama interview:
Notice her softer tone and her attempts at suppressing a smile?
Ah, yes, the future V.P. of the U.S. of A., beaten by that inscrutible devil dog of journalism, Katie Couric, into spouting nigh imcomprehensible gibberish!
How did she do it?
LOL. This is the most tragi-comic piece of apologistic crap I’ve read in ages. Maybe you stop obsessing over Katie Couric interviews and go back to reading the hard stuff, Cosmo, for more of those “How To Tell if He’s Not THAT Into You!” articles, you nimwit. Your attempt at pop psych deconstruction of Palin’s crossed arms was appropriately pathetic.
(BTW, I cross my arms because it feels comfortable, or when I’m about to wiggle my nose and grant a wish to some PYT and let her rub my magic lamp.)

This is great stuff, much like the Rolling Stone article. Thanks for providing yet another example of the typical Palin-hater. I almost don’t need to write anything when people such as yourself are here to make my case for me.
BTW, why are Canadians so obsessed with what goes on in our politics? Do you hear us telling us how stupid your candidates for prime minister are (what is your current one’s name again? Nevermind, it’s as irrelevant as Canada.)
