Hysterical Rolling Stones on Palin and Political Landscape

If you have hate in your heart… LET IT OUT!

Why are people so in love with hate?
I would imagine it’s all they have.

It’s like what Bob Weir said about the Grateful Dead “people either really love us or they really hate us”.

Since we’re talking about the Dead and Rolling Stone, didn’t Rolling Stone try to get Jerry Garcia to denounce the Republicans who came to their concerts and he wouldn’t do it, saying, “I kind of like some of their ideas?”

Uh oh, looks like Rev. Wright has some pretty primitive, pseudo-scientific beliefs:
http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=YjZjODhlYTE2MDViN2VlMDYyZmZmNjBmNDMxNTFjMzg=
One of the strangest things about the NAACP Wright pseudo-scientific speech on learning, and its enthusiastic CNN coverage and analysis, was the abject racialism of Wright. It was sort of an inverse Bell-Curve presentation, based on assumed DNA differences.

His convoluted explanation of African-American right-brain ‘oral’ culture as more creative, musical, and spontaneous versus European left-brain traditional analysis could never have been given by someone white to that audience without justifiably earning booing and catcalls.

Three comments: this was just the sort of racist ‘genetic’ difference that most Americans learned to shun, now apparently quite acceptable again, and part of the mainstream.

Second, there is no evidence that so-called Europeans could not “rap” or create an oral literature as well as Africans ?? remember, oral poetry as we know it , began with bards like Homer somewhere in the southeastern Aegean and continued into modern times in the Balkans.

Three, some of the most accomplished speakers of English and analytical thinkers are African-Americans, a fact everyone immediately recognizes from what they read and with whom they speak.

In short, Wright’s speech on black-right brainers, white-left brainers ?? replete with bogus stereotypes and crude voice imitations ?? was about as racist as they come and at one time antithetical to what the NAACP was once all about. Again, the Obama campaign and its appendages have set back racial relations a generation. Just ten years ago, any candidate, black or white, would have rejected Wright making a speech about genetic differences in respective black and white brains. Now it’s given to civil rights organizations by the possible next President’s pastor and spiritual advisor ?? and done to wild applause for an organization founded on the idea that we are innately the same, while being gushed over by ignorant “commentators.”

As I said before, between Wright’s racism and hatred, and Obama’s contextualization of what he has said, we have so lowered the bar that the next racist (and he won’t necessarily be black) who evokes hatred of other races and then offers a mish-mash pop theory of genetic differences will have plenty of “context” to ward off public fury.
Obama also voted for the bridge to nowhere:
http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/gop-scours-obama-votes-for-election-ammunition-2008-01-08.html
Also, Obama and 81 other senators opposed an amendment in 2005 to strike the infamous $231 million ??Bridge to Nowhere?? earmark for Alaska and redirect that funding to help with rebuilding New Orleans.

The Senate rarely backs efforts to strike another member??s pet projects.
Explain to me again why those (Rolling Stone editors) who hate Palin love Obama?

I do no see what is wrong about this article.

Your first three vice presidents were Adams, Jefferson and Burr.

Does anyone really think that she even plays in the same league?

Is that ageing bimbo really made of presidential timber?

Of course not, but no one does nowadays, so your point is a non-sequitur.

I find this to be a rather sexist remark. She doesn’t appear any more or less intelligent than the average woman, which is why so many women like her. The panel of women they had comment on her performance in the VP debate were positively gushing over her, and I didn’t find any evidence that they were “bimbos,” though they were aging. Likewise, she’s not much older than Obama, is she? She’s only 3 years older than Obama. Is there any substance to your critique, or is it all just sexist ad hominem?

Well if she’s both old AND stupid enough to qualify as an “ageing bimbo”, then clearly she is unqualified! The fact that she was voted Mayor and then Governor is just a reflection on just how stupid people from Alaska are, amirite?

Anyway, wrt the Rolling Stone article, I’d guess (that means I have no evidence, so don’t bother asking for some) that the author, who is just super-indignant at all the government waste and stupidity, probably creams his too-tight jeans on a regular basis at the thought of Obama’s socialist utopia of federally-mandated healthcare and higher education. In short, he’s a genius, and yet super cool (as evidenced by his job working for the Rolling Fucking Stone) and so I desperately want to be just like him.

She has two things going for her, her looks, which will be gone soon and her “folksy” “charm”.

Sorry, but I call a spade a spade and she is an ageing bimbo.

That there are more ageing bimbos out there who see nothing wrong with being one is hardly an argument for I see nothing wrong with it either, unless Cinderella wants to be VP.

Then I see one.

She strikes me as one of these people who think they can do and be everything because they are too dumb to know how little they know.

Absofuckinglutely.

Which was the whole point of the article.

First of all he writes that a lot of what he wrote could also be said about Obama and then it is irrelevant whether he is an asshole or not when it comes to his observation that the US presidential elections start to resemble the Miss World contest.

I never mentioned your English skills, for the record. And for the record, I think they are superb. My criticism of “foreigners” tends to be directed towards a specific set: those who project their own anger and national shortcomings onto America and Americans. You’ll notice a similar pattern in my writings against those who project all of their own problems and the problems of this country onto the Jews.
Rofl…

Allow me to speak a language you’ll understand.

Your Palin-hatred is borne of elitism and bourgeois arrogance against the eternal proletarian revolt represented by Sarah Palin and supported by those of blue-collar, proletarian American roots. You bourgeoisie cannot stand that a person of such proletarian origins has risen to such a level, and are determined to suppress her campaign and the Worker’s Uprising it represents. Perhaps you will succeed, but not before we Oppressed Workers try our hardest to overthrow your bourgeois shackles.

Why elitism?
Doesn’t McCain fit that job-description perfectly?
And what is wrong with expecting more then

from the US’ future VP?

You can knight a pig and call it “sir”, but even lipstick won’t change the fact that it’s neither a knight nor a pitbull.
She may heve risen but she’s unfit.
That’s all there is to it.

are you serious about that marxist part? Or is that some sort of Obama joke?

Raaarrrrggggghhhh! Palin is a dumb hick bitch! Raarrghghghg! Arrrggghhh! Anyone who votes for Palin is a dumb white trash hick retard! Aarrrrrggggghhh! I hate people who have any different political opinion than mine! Raaaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!

Raaaaaaaarrrrggghhhhh! Everyone should agree with me! If they don’t, then they are a stupid, white trash hickbilly, inbred, retarded, piece of sister fucking trash! Raaaarrrrgggghhhhh!

DAMN IT, I AM SO MUCH SMARTER, AND BETTER, THAN ANYONE WHO IS VOTING FOR ANY OTHER CANDIDATE THAN THE ONE I AM VOTING FOR!!! IF YOU DON’T VOTE FOR OBAMA, YOU ARE A STUPID, IGNORANT, RETARDED, WHITE TRASH, HICK, HILLBILLY, INBRED, FAT, RACIST, SISTER FUCKING, TRAILER PARK, TOOTHLESS, PIECE OF WHITE TRASH, WHITE TRASH, WHITE TRASH SHIT!

Wow. Is this how Obama supporters feel all the time?

Uh oh, it looks like estimates of her IQ put her at least a SD above the white mean (100), and at about the level of JFK:

Heck, she might well be smarter than the editors of Rolling Stone!

This post is hilarious, well written.

… 'course there’s also an “unintentionally funny” part, but we’ll leave that to the side and give credit where it’s due.

Good post. Funny, but this is the exact reaction I get to most of my posts. Hell, I think PR has only answered me with ad hominems

If you think I wrote this to be unintentionally funny, then I have succeeded. Schwarz is still trying to figure out whether or not I was serious.

It is a tatctic that is employeed frequently by both sides.

You can easily replace “Palin” with “Clinton” and “Obama” with “Bush” in the above.

I don’t think Palin is dumb, I think she’s uneducated. It’s not that she doesn’t have potential, it’s that she hasn’t lived up to that potential. One day she may know a lot about macroeconomics and foreign affairs, but that day is not today based upon everything she’s said (and failed to say) so far.

Everyone freezes sometimes, but it’s that she seems to always freeze when asked hard questions that is the problem. The Couric interview was by no means a setup. The questions were fair and presented honestly. Between that interview and Palin completely dodging questions at the debate, I think she simply doesn’t have the informational base from which to effectively rule. She should not be disqualified from running for VP, but she does seem to be unqualified for the job.
