high rep squats are awesome for growth as long as progressive overload principle is applied. shoot for say, 50 reps and add 5lbs every week for 6 weeks and see if you don’t gain size.[/quote]

DUDE! If that’s really you in your avatar, I’ll do anything you prescribe in the gym!

Dude, post more, please.

flattering comments everyone, much appreciated… don’t wanna hijack OP’s thread so I’ll put my 2 cents here. I did 20-rep squat routine written by Randall Strossen and gained lots of muscle in short time(6 weeks then 2 weeks break and another 6 weeks). I then began to carry bodybuilder’s frame I believe I peaked around 345lbs for 20 reps. when I went back to conventional 6-8 rep sets it felt so easy and broke 500lb barrior naturally. I used creatine, glutamine, and vanadyl sulfate for enhancement and whey protein.

Not trying to keep the hi-jack going either, but you should consider making a thread or something, if you wouldn’t mind. I know a lot of folks around here would probably love to pick your mind about certain things, as you’ve clearly accomplished quite a bit in the physique realm.

Note that I don’t say the OP should pick one.

Especially not, since myosaurus rex build such a minimalistic foundation with it.

I’m just not sayin’!
