I have looked over the various HGH threads on the board and I am just looking for confirmation that my approach is right.
The back story is that I am a 32 male who is very competitive in triathlons, but I’m taking this year off because of tendonitis in my foot and a stress reaction in my collar bone. To help speed up recovery I’m looking to purchase Humatrope or one of the other branded gh products.
I’m thinking of a 3-4 month cycle of 2ui per day (5 on 2 off). As everyone knows gh is not cheap. Basically I would like to know whether this is good approach or am I going to be wasting my money?
for high dollar pharmacy GH at that dose and that duration i would not do it…too much money to piss away becasue it is not likely to solve your problem. I would think a good physical therapist would be money much better spent. Gh is not the cure all that people want to think it is…yes its a usable tool…no it won’t cure all your ailments in 12 weeks.
i beg to differ. I had severe biceps tendonitis. Also have had two microdiscetomies on L5-S1 within 4 months of each other. Needless to say I have arthritis in my lower back. Nothing including pain medication really helped till my doc put me on testosterone cypionate 200mg/week. And Tev-tropin. I can find Humatrope for cheaper so I opted for that. And just like magic my pain is gone. I also exercise 5-6 days a week, am 28years old, have 15+ years of training, and try to eat right, but the growth has definitely aided in major way

trust me on this, i am in no way anti -gh LOL most on here taht know me know that, i have been utilizing pharmacuetical apporaches to bodybuilding for 25 plus years. In your case i will GUARANTEE the testosterone had more of an effect than the GH assuming you are using a small dose of gh (2iu per day or so). I will also GUARANTEE that a regimen as the OP posted 2iu per day 5 on two off for 12-16 weeks will do exactly NOTHING for him. Sounds like your injusry and training history are similar to mine including the back trouble…gald you found relief, becasue i know how bad it sucks. Now all that being said 2iu per day for a year…that might indeed help if he is GH deficient…2 iu per day is nothing more than a replacement dose and will NOT perform miracles.
Thanks, I appreciate the input. Just out of curiosity, I thought T really had no impact on injury healing. Especially tendon repair. Is this really the case?
my point to him was he feels better becasue he was probbaly suffering from low testosterone…if your hormones are out of wack correcting them will certainly make you feel bettter…due to alot of reasons that i don’t have time to get into. The best thing you can do is get with a competent (thats the tough part) male hormone specialist and adress items which are genuinely in DEFICIT. Throwing a bunch of hormones at injusries (while it may be enjoyable) is NOT the way to treat the problem.

Oh no no no. T has a great impact on injury healing. In general I believe the pro-collagen effects of GH are probably greater for things like you’re suggesting, but morepain is dead on–your protocol won’t really do anything that a good physical therapist couldn’t do and will probably accomplish less for more money.
On the other hand if you take a shot like a downsized version of BBB’s protocol… well then I think you’ve probably got some serious help. But I know dick about actual GH use. If we’re talking strict science-y lab stuff I might be able to help some.
