HT's What The Hell Am I Doing Part II

commercial gym again today. great workout. NEW PR!!!

  1. deadlift 150kgx5, 200kgx3 , 240kgx6 PR the 150 and 200 were RAW with a hook grip, the 240kg was with belt and straps.

the groin was still pretty tight, and i think i pretty muche stiff legged all of these(thats what the observers said anyhow). i think the groin injury actually helped. because of the injury, i basically did a very light 2 week deload before this.

  1. back raises 100 reps

  2. shrugs, 1x20 x 315, 1x10x505lbs

  3. roman chair abds 2x10

  4. tabata aqirdine bike

  5. pool and hottub and PIZZA!

Had my first couple work outs this week. Its amazing how different work outs can be after nearly 3mo off and gaining 20lb. But such is life.

thanks K, well its brutal if you dont sand bag your earlier sets, so i have a set rpm goal for each set, that is i have a minimum rpm i have to do for ALL sets.

v-bar lat pulls 3x15

tabata airdyne.

Tabata does work best when you can count strokes, rpm or even heart rate…

Had a decent day today. Been working a bunch.

Walked home about a mile with gym bag. Trying to train a little smarter. Checking the ego at the door is hard for a pea brain like myself. Saving money for some gear. Fought it a long time. What does a guy like me need with anything but a belt, straps and wraps? Growing up is a bitch. Knees were ok except shaking on the 505. Hardheaded and refused to stop until lockout. No straps today on deads, hands a litle trashed. The best to all especially the folks in Azle,TX.

That would be a deadly pyramid for me, Barry. Nice pulling.

pretty good jimmy, we will see how deads go wedensday. if warmups feel good, im going to go for a pr, hopefully 620 plus conventional. if warmups are so-so, ill start my 5-3-1 cycle over again.

monday was upper back, about 15 sets of chins and rows.

tuesday was arm day, did some machine triceps work and some barbell curls, about 10 sets total.

today>

tried to pull 635 conventional, ended up tearing something in my left arm of all things, sort of feels like my triceps, sort of like nothing i have ever felt before. weird. warmups were easy, hit 530 x 1 raw with hook grip for my last warmup, and then right to 635. should have not even tried it, i was not feeling good otherwise. kind of on an emotional roller coaster with my lady right now, and my head was not right.

ill hammer the glute ham raise later, and rest and see how it feels in the morning.
