ugh, terrible day today, first “bad” day on 5/3/1 so far.

  1. deadlift 375x5, 410x5, 435x5 back felt tight, no pop off the floor, so i only went for prescribed 5 reps and no more. i think i will go lighter on my deload next time.

  2. ghr 5x10,10,9,7,5

  3. roman chair abds 2x15

  4. barbell curls 5x10

Any of you guys heard from JimmyT? He’s been MIA for quit a bit.

a. flat bench about 7 sets total, 7-15 reps, worked up to top set of 90kg x 7.

b1 incline dumbbell curls 5x10x40

b2 fat man chins 5x10

b3 band trceps ext 100 reps.

Still haven’t made it to a real gym. My knees and left hip are f@#%&*?]]]. I’ve been foam rolling trying to heal but it ain’t working. Tried to be easy todayso I didn’t bother to go to a real gym. I’d have done something stupid sure as hell.

Big Barry texted me and said the crew was wondering where I was.Had to look over the part two HT!Just what I thought,all the usual suspects are here!!!Started work on June 5th. with a commercial paint company.I have had 4 days off!!!Like Barry said we text almost every day.

I have been training at 5am on M-W-F for about an hour.Mon.-chest and shoulders-Tues.-Back,bis and tris-Fri.- legs and some bar work on my chest,weighted dips-various grips on my bench. The crew took the summer off and 63galaxie is still in rehab for the torn roter cuff.Mikey went to Oklahoma to a wrestling camp and has been training a little.The other guys are working hard.We are gonna pick it up in the fall. It has been very hot down here but the old school is still banging away at it!!! I do not stop training for anything, I make the necessary adjustments and move forward. Sure is good to see everyone hard at it!Gonna catch up with everyones training and will start posting. You all have a great day tomorrow and my best to all! Jimmy T

Another episode of Barry’s stupid gym tricks. First about a month ago tweaked left shoulder because I didn’t ask for a liftoff on the bench. They make benchs for you height challenged fellows and I can’t communicate to ask for a lift off. Yesterday another brain fart. Wanting a 295 for 3. I know I’m a pussss. I pay no attention to where I’m gripping the bar and the kid doesn’t say anything to where the old bastard who’s gripping the bar because he thinks I know what the fuck I’m doing. I struggle with the 3 reps especially on my left side. Something to be said for core work, I didn’t hurt myself. My grip was almost all the way to the right. Can you say, “MORON”? I checked to see if I had more weight on one side and the youngster said my grip was a little one sided. oppppps

Barry, could you bench inside a rack and set the pins so a tall guy like you doesn’t kill his shoulders without a lift off? The benchs seem to be made for guys my height not 6’3’'.

Wanted to squat yesterday but my knees were a nogo. My marathon workouts are hurting. Until this week my only gym option was to pay 7$ per workout so I would stay around 2 hours and my knees have paid the price. Sorry for the whine and no cheese but I’m old.
