I’m 16, 170 lb’s, 6"0. I’ve been training for a couple years now. I have been focusing mailnly on strength and endurance for the past six months and am now looking for a hypertrophy program that will keep my strength gains up.
I realize that it is difficult to say one program is better than another because there are so many other variables within the trainee him/herself. So all I what to here from everyone is your experiences with the programs, and which one will most likely stimulate more hypertrophy.
One thing that does really attract me to Chad’s HFT is that he sets progression parameters, unlike CT.
OP: As a rule, to maximize long-term progress, always use the simplest tool to get the job done. You don’t need a program with letter abbreviations. Squat, Deadlift, Bench, Military Press, Chins, Rows…do each of these once or twice a week in whatever format suits you, 4-12 reps generally, progressively heavier weights over time…be patient.
Making it more complicated than this will probably compromise your gains. Get those lifts way up there and you’ll have plenty of size. Trust me.
hypertrophy doesnt come from a specific program. progression in the weight room and an increased calorific intake with sufficient protein will lead to hypertrophy.
Ramo listed excellent exercises. if you were to pick 4-6 of them each workout and do between 4-12 reps for 3-6 sets each and make sure each workout you either lift a heavier weight or complete more reps you’ll definately see gains. And remember diet is key… if you havent already head over to the physique clinic and check out trojan and crewepiece
