HPTA Restart- Easy Guide

Feeling okay, not as good as T but still manageable. Lost some size but nothing to drastic, keeping diet and lifting very strict. Adding Nolva on the last week of HCG is something to think about, we’ll see. I can handle feeling crappy for a week or so until the nolva kicks in. Another compound I was also considering was enclo but there seems to be very little research into it in conjunction with restarting HPTA.

Sounds positive. Thanks for updating I’m sure record of your experience restarting will be helpful to others. Especially noting any protocol tweaks you have made that worked well.

Curious. what week was it you felt like shit? Reason I ask is I am halfway in this protocol, just started the HCG mono therapy. Was thinking of scheduling a week off work when I transition from HCG to my SERM (Enclo) but want to make sure I don’t waste the time off and do it during the time where my body isn’t feeling great.

Any opinions on triptorelin to restart the HPTA? People tend to be dismissive of it as it is used for chemical castration at high dosages (about 40 times what you’d use for HPTA restart), but a single dose of 100mcg seems to be effective.

How are these symptoms today are they all still there?? What made you start TRT to be fine with was it medical reasons or workout purposes?

Hey I’m 33 years old I got on because Low T symptoms came out of no where. How about you what made you start?

Why novelx do a clomid not work as well?

The second week of part 3 seems to be worst for me. Perhaps it takes a couple weeks for pituitary to start the signal again after HCG is stopped.

I logged it in this post Coming Off TRT After 3 Years- HPTA Restart Log

I believe the easy guide is more optimal than my original log. The HCG dosing frequency and test prop are not necessary and only complicate things.

Sorry I’ve no experience with this

These symptoms were temporary and only occurred as I came off injections and begun producing my own testosterone naturally again. They lasted about a week.

I went on TRT due to mood issues and weight gain. Controversially, I feel there’s a case for TRT being a possible weight loss tool.

I honestly feel like we need more people like you on this forum. Everyone on here is always talking about wanting to start TRT a lot alot are starting it because of workout purposes. But no one really ever talks about how to get off of it properly. I feel as if the doctors from the clinics do not even want you to get off because then that means you won’t use there services anymore. Also no one really ever talks about why they started TRT to begin with. Some people are on it for medical purposes and only medical purposes like my self. There should be a separate threads that distinguish the reason why men are on TRT such as a cycle thread and then a medical thread. We can not treat these individuals the same. I have been on TRT for going on 5 years and I’m 33. I’m losing my hair and it hurts to see it fall out like this. My life has never been then same sense starting it. I have been looking for someone for so long that could help me get off of this but I definitely understand that I mite not ever be able to come off. But I will never give up I hate that TRT has been apart of my life for the past 5 years. But at the same time I need it.

Before I developed low T symptoms I was living my best life and ever since I started TRT nothing was ever the same from sex drive to sensitivity issues and my hair. I just need the proper way to come off and illl keep giving it a try and hope one day I can stop.

You’re right that many clinics seem to scaremonger patients if they show interest in stopping treatment. They are a business at the of the day.

Guys on here use TRT for lots of reasons, it can be a great tool but it’s a very person specific cost vs benefit decision. If it’s working for you then great enjoy it. If it’s not then get off and see if things improve, you can always jump back on. Glad that some are finding this guide useful should they want to stop. Finding a restart protocol can seem conflicting and overwhelming initially. Good luck.

Slightly simpler approach I took for reference:

Blood work in the linked thread on EM.

The example restart protocol in this post attempts cover all bases including guys who have been shut down for years with no HCG use. Their testes will take longer to come back online after years of dormancy. Giving them a number of weeks of HCG hopes to negate the worst side effects that could be experienced when the testes are not fully ready to produce sufficiently on their own.

More simple protocols exist and if guys are willing to endure the possible side effects of low E2 and low T, the outcome will likely be the same. Given enough time you’re HPTA either work or it won’t regardless of the restart protocol.

Fully priming the boys and giving them every chance to adequately produce with minimal sides per this protocol and others like it is the most logical choice when trying to get off TRT in my view.

I’m 40 years old and came off almost 2 years straight of TRT using this script, and it was so smooth. Balls are working again and I didn’t crash once using this method. Highly recommend this to anyone coming off!

Glad to hear it! Satisfied with you’re natural levels?

Having two cost free and dedicated endocrinologists hanging between one’s legs, carrying out blood work (cameo mention of pituitary…ok 1 endo and two urologists…) of unmatchable detail and frequency who will personally top up various hormones on the fly all day long is something no one should take for granted. Even if one’s Testosterone levels are mid or below mid-range or slightly “suboptimal”, serious thought should be given before putting the brakes on such a complex and refined system! TRT can easily be both a godsend or a disappointing mistake depending on the person. The correct circumstance and level of inclination is required to ensure the most is taken from the treatment.

Now you know how easy it can be to get off, the question now is when’s your next cycle….? Good job man.

Man you are speaking the truth brother. I️ never thought of that comparison about a working HPTA but you’re right. It’s like a free doctor who’s always keeping things in balance. I️ definitely won’t ever take that for granted again.

To your second question funny you should ask, that idea has seriously crossed my mind. When I️ crashed trying to go off cold Turkey, I️ swore I️ was done for good. But now that I️ see how easy it is to come off I’ve seriously been considering.

I️ want to be off for a year straight just to see how the year goes but I️ may do this again, but this time cycle for aesthetics (not blast and cruise). Will keep you posted!

Joking aside though as this is a TRT thread not a Pharma one. Choosing to cycle is a personal choice. There’s no guarantee of recovery each time we do it especially the older we get. It’s also worth noting that those pesky 19-nors seem to be problematic for many of the PCT crowd.

In the event one doesn’t have a provider who will prescribe what’s needed for this protocol, what are the alternatives?

I’ve been on Test Cyp/AZ for 7 months. Levels are in the 900s but I feel the same. No libido, low energy, brain fog etc. So I cancelled my online T subscription and have been decreasing my E3D injections incrementally with each dose. Immediate effect I’m noticing is some moodiness and depression and I’m concerned it’ll get worse.

Tips?

This 3 part protocol could be described as a luxury. A soft landing.

Generally, if you stop T now and do nothing you will probably be back to natural baseline within 6 months. Possibly upto 3 months of some negative symptoms assuming no other compounds were used. Like 19nors.

In my experience(done few PCTs now), using HCG & SERMs the negative symptoms exist for roughly 8 weeks with weeks 3-5 most noticeable, energy, confidence and mood etc.

Running part 3 only of this restart guide will be suffice and get you going again fairly quickly.

Personally I’d run Nolvadex for 6 weeks beginning now or ASAP.

Clomid will work too if it’s all you can get but it could make your mood worse. Something like 4 weeks of Clomid at 50mg every other day. If thats too much for you, half the dose.

There’s really not much too PCT/ Restarts. We will always get some negative symptoms, we can only try and mitigate the worst of them. Don’t get anxious and overthink things. The symptoms are often blown out of proportion but it will be different for everyone.
