Just heard a couple of guys who couldnt have even been 20 talking about doing "juice" dont worry they were going to do the pill kind because its safer. Just wondering your guys' opinions how young is too young to start using steroids if the person is well educated and does it right?
Bro,
Are these dudes really you and your buds? If they are or are not then read up on steroids on this site. You will learn that you and your buds are too young. Males normally produce enough of their own T to put on slabs of muscle with proper nutrition and training until around age 35 or so.
It ain’t easy my friend with or without steroids but it is a lot less complex to get big using your own T. Read up on what kind of diet you need, and start downloading training routines and if you put your mind to it you will succeed. Discipline does not mean you have to spend hours everyday in the gym, but 3 or 4 workouts a week with good diet habits and your pudknocker friends will think your on “the juice”.
Stay smart and stay strong.
“pill kind is safer” yeh right!!
I’ve never been on juice before, but have taken pro-hormones before when I was around twenty. I think it would be better to wait untill later on. Being twenty-three now, I have blasted past my personal recorders in both compition lifts and in the gym when I was on pro-hormones. Alot can be accomplished through proper nutrition and quality routines. I think furthering ones own knowledge about fitness or whatever your into is a key factor for progression and most beneficial. As to the question, I’m not sure exactly when it would be a good time, just older than twenty.
Guys, I’m sure Twisted was being factitious when he said “safer”.
Age is not relevant. Years of training is. At least 10-15 years of real training and proper nutrition and then some people have maxed out their genetic potential.
First those guys are definately not me or my friends. Secondly, being twenty I have thought about using but never very seiously, in the future I will but not now. Third I mentioned the “safe” pill comment to point out their ignorance. I am no expert on steroids obviously since ive never touched them but have been reading up on the internet and here for over a year now so I know the basics especially to know that a drug like Methandrostenolone, dbol is definately not any safer than say primo or straight test. I was just curious as to what some of the vets and everyone else thinks is too early.
Age is nothing more than a number…
I mean a guy could be 40yrs and has been toying w/ weights for a couple decades and eating garbage food for that time, but since he’s 40 he should be entitled to juice? I don’t think so.
Once your diet, recuperation, supplementation and training have been solid for 2-3 consecutive yrs I think taking the plunge may not be such a bad idea depending on your goals.
Teens, however, shouldn’t touch anything unless they have desire and the genetics to become the next mr. olympia.
I started in my early 20’s and have no regrets.
I feel pretty much the same way Mike. My question is though by starting in the early twenties is the endocrine system more succeptable to permanent damage?
I’ve been working out with my son in his High School weight room, and after eavesdropping on many conversations, I can tell you steroid use is still rampant in High School.
Thats what ive heard too about highschool use but when I was in highschool (2 years ago) Steroid use was very frowned upon and maybe joked about but it was that thing that no one ever thought of doing. This is in Canada mind you but still.

As of right now, I will say no.
That’s because I have blood panels done after every cycle I do (once exogenous molecules are long gone) and free and total testosterone levels are off the charts for me.
This seems to make sense as even when I come off cycle (which for me lasts the duration that I was on) I have been able to maintain virtually every lb. I’ve gained and have even added a couple-3 lbs.
Time will only tell if I’ve screwed myself up for good…But my motto has always been “cease the day.”
I just completed my cycle and have no apparent side effects. My blood and liver enzymes were checked by an endocrinologist before and after my cycle and they came out perfect. I am only 22 but by no means did I treat steroids as some sort of joke. I have been diligint in my training, nutrition, and research since I was 15. I am by no means an expert nor do I claim to be exceptionally intelligent , but I believe that if a person approaches steroids with a proper frame of mind and uses them with respect, I dont see a problem.

Thanks for the info mike. How do you get your blood T levels checked? Just ask your doctor or do you need to give them an excuse?[/quote]
I got to know my physician pretty well before I sprung the topic of AAS…He said he had his suspicions but it wasn’t his place to ask. I think he realizes that he’s not going to change my mind so he might as well keep me as healthy as possible while I do it.
Some docs aren’t so liberal though:(
hmmm could be a problem. My normal doc that I had growing up is back where I grew up and all I have now is the university doctors and we know how good they are…
Not to ruin the thread- and I know this isn’t a section that’s off topic, but I can’t be the only one that thought you guys were talking about girls under 18.

The pill kind is safer? Buddy, these guys are walking blind without a cane.
Your 20s should be the most productive period of training in your life. Don’t squander it. They don’t have nearly enough training experience to even think about doing steroids and if they think orals are safer they don’t have nearly enough knowledge.
I agree with the previous poster: 10 -15 years until you hit a genetic wall. By then, you’ll probably be big and strong enough that you wouldn’t want to take them anyway.
