Well, I’ve seen it before, from there the big dude’s friends/relatives WILL hunt you and your family down for creating the incident that lead to the arrest and jailing of the big guy. Then he comes out of prison and starts looking for you to exact revenge, cause in his eyes YOU started all this, YOU disrespected his woman, and that’s something he will never allow to happen, even if he treats her like shit in private.

We internet heroes are not the ones that disrespected him, first of all. Second, I think most would agree that we would at first try and reason with BOTH parties. If violence ensued, I can only speak for myself when I say that I look to end the altercation as quickly and swiftly as possible. I normally either get behind, or tie up the aggressor from the front, then apply choke. I try not to waste time throwing my fists, as that will only escalate things. Pretty much a last resort. As for his people, having been in a situation like that, I talk to them, like a man, and break the situation down. In every situation, we’ve all come to terms. The aggressors have even gone so far as to thank me for not inflicting more damage or allowing them to do further damage. Once again, I don’t mean to come off as a braggert or proud, but I’ve learned a long time ago how to deal with people in different situations. I always try to establish some sort of repore (sp??) with people, good and not-so-good alike.

I know I would have at least tried to get in the middle and calm the situation down. I’m only 5’8 but I have never fought anyone under 6 foot. I’m not saying I would have whooped that guys ass but if I could have had his attention the whole thing may not have happend.
I have a uhhh problem I used to stick up for little people … not realising I was smaller myself lol I got jumped a few times once while in the army. Not fun but I can hold my own with a bigger dude.
Bigger guys tend to be a lot stronger but arent nearly as agile and quick. I would have done something even though it may have caused me harm I CAN’T stand by and let someone be hurt. Military firefighter manofsteel…superman…I don’t sit back and always think of others first.
I’m only 5’8" 192, but there isn’t a chance I would just stand there and do nothing, at least after the initial punch. Once permanent injury to someone who hasn’t hurt anyone comes into the picture, I’m jumping in. Honestly, in that situation I think even 1 or 2 of those guys confronting the black dude would’ve stopped the conflict in its tracks.
Even if the odds are against me, I am NOT just standing there being a pansy.
I honestly don’t know what I would do. I have sat in awe at the stupidity of my fellow man while I watched bad things happen, and I have jumped into bad situations to try to do some good without a second thought.
In this case I hope I would try to difuse the situation early, gotten that douche bag to put down his phone and appologize to the woman. She’s the kind of bitch who starts shit so she can watch her boyfriend finish it, but like Neph says, that little turd of a boy did everything wrong. Hell, if he didn’t have enough sense to try to save himself, I might let the big guy get in one shot.

This was right down the road from my old university and happened when I was in class one night (I think).
The place is not the best area in town and guys like that are a dime a dozen there. I remember after that happened everyone I talked to was saying how they would have helped the guy, but who knows.
