How to Stop a Toyota

Totally forgot about that problem, thought it was strange a Prius trying to race my type-r…

I believe there was an unfortunate incident where a California highway patrol officer and three family members were killed when their loaner car’s accelerator stuck and they crashed going 100 mph. They called 911, if anyone wants to listen to the message on youtube.

Although it was a very sad incident, are police officers not trained to handle car emergencies anymore? I understand it’s a stressful situation, and most people don’t know what the E-brake does, but if you have time to take your phone out of your pocket, dial 911 and have time to speak to a dispatcher, then you have time to stop the car.

Ever try getting a license in Europe? You pay over $1000+ in some places! I bet if you had to pay that much money for a license you would damn sure know your car inside and out.

$1000+ is cheap, then there’s the insurance which will literally cost you 5-6 times the car if your a young man; which you have to have or they will take your car.

Think I spent £50 a lesson (2 hours long) 4 lessons a month for 7-8 months, cant remember how much the theory was or the test I remember I had to rent the car though; they wouldn’t let me use my own.

My insurance was £1800 on a 1.4 Nissan Almera worth £450 that was only third party; to think these people from other countries can just come in and drive on our roads takes the piss.

Then you got your car tax my type-r is £118 for 6 months (quite cheap compared to some people),which doesn’t get spent on our roads; seen better roads in Afghanistan.
Driving in the UK is a con.

Don’t know why that funny “A” came up when I used the “pound” symbol.

I liked how he was going 80 and was too busy “controlling” his vehicle to listen to the dispatcher and shift into neutral. 80? That’s barely fast enough where I’m from to start paying attention to the road. People in this country need to wake up and use some common sense and think for themselves.

There you go. How about getting an American hybrid (think Ford Escape) that still uses a mechanical gear shift (Which is moot since only prii have the acceleration problems)?
