How to Know My Weak Links?

Hi Coach.
There’s some method/ rule to know How are my weak links for the big lifts? Look in the mirror for some lack os delevopment could help?

Thanks in advance

Take a video of your lifts at a decently high % 1RM from a few angles and post up a formcheck on here.

He has some pretty good tips for this in his 915 strength program article. But only weak links for lifts. If for bodybuilding, just look in the mirror?

  1. position of the sticking point. For example if your sticking point in the bench is 2" from the chest it likely is more of a weak chest or weak lats, if the sticking point is the lockout it is more likely triceps. It’s ore complex than that, but knowing where you fail on a lift, or where the lift gets hard can tell you which muscles are holding you behind

  2. lifting technique: subconsciously the nervous system will try to use a technique that bypasses weak points which means that you have to compensate somehow, which will lead to technical changes. This can also give you clues about your weak points but it needs to be analyzed by a qualified coach.

  3. subjective assessment: visual assessment can be helpful, a prportionally underdeveloped muscle is likely weaker. Also if your mind-muscle connection with a muscle is poor (you have a hard time feeling it work during an exercise) then it could be another indication that it is weak

  4. strength ratios: you can also compare your strength on various lifts. If a lift is much weaker than it should be it could indicate a weakness. You can read the following article on that topic: Know Your Ratios, Destroy Weaknesses
