How to go about Losing Weight?

Just wondering how you guys go about losing weight! I’ve recently gained about 20 pounds and i just dont feel comfortable walking around at this weight! 5’9 235-240 I’m currently doing 5/3/1 and westside whenever i visit my old gym! What is the first thing you guys do when trying to lose weight? Diet, Cardio, Higher reps? Just looking for some guidance from ppl that love the same sport i do

If I wanted to lose weight I would probably eat less. But I have a very high metabolism so that just sort of happens for me. The Simple Diet ← My friend went from 315 to 275 eating basically like this, with minimal cardio. Hope it helps.

Personally I’ve had a lot of success with the stuff Kiefer has put out in terms of body recomping as well as maintaining strength while coming down.

^^ Hell yes! I have bought the CBL book and have been doing the carb back loading for about 2 weeks now. I have lost 9 pounds and I’m honestly not even trying to lose weight. As best I can tell the “weight” has been all body fat or at least the majority of it according to my BF pincers and my tape measure. What got me into this was that I train in the evening anyways, don’t like breakfast and try to save my carbs for around training time.

The CBL just seemed to fit for me.
I’m doing the “density bulking” and have enjoyed it so far. I’ve bee eating like a mofo too. haha. Last night after my bench session I had the hypertrophic potentiator shake then for supper & back load feast I had some tuna, some veggies, a protein shake with a whole triple meat pizza. Later on I had a protein shake with 1/3 of a key lime pie. This morning I woke up and found I have lost another pound.

The best part is my wife is all pissed that I can eat all the “shit” and still lose the fat all the while she’s refusing to accept the facts and try it too. She’s downstairs now doing some Zumba shit… haha Speaking of cardio I’m off to Mtn Bike a few miles… this evening is Max effort Squats so I got a hella backload coming this evening! It’s gonna be great.

check out the carb back loading.

SD - that was pretty much my exact experience (though not quite as much weight loss).

Mountain biking before ME lower? Screw that. I won’t even do cardio the day before a ME lower day much less the day of, and my “cardio” is simply walking lol.

First thing I would do is “clean up the diet”, just getting rid of the crap, will get one headed in the right direction.

Thanks for all the replies guys! I think i will look into CBL

Arnold never did cardio.

I heard that! Later is definitely going to be “Max EFFORT” lol

BUT… I’m using my spider bar. That thing kicks my but - BAD - with just 335#… ugh…

So would somebody mind giving me a few basics for CBL as i dont have the money to buy the book atm!
