So I’ve been lifting for about 2 1/2 years now and was interested in going to meets ( not necessarily competing at first). I’m currently 16 so I would prefer to see a junior meet if possible. How would I find out about the next meet near me? I live on long island, thanks in advance.
Look on powerliftingwatch.com you can search for meets by federation and state. Also look at the federations you would like to compete in such as SPF, APA, USPF, AAU, USAPL, WABDL, (insert federation here) and see if the state you live in or surrounding states have a website that you can check out.
Don’t worry about lifting in a junior level meet. Most will have a teen division, the whole point of the first meet is to get numbers on the board anyway.
