Here is my situation. I commute to work via bicycle, 17 km each way. I park my bike at my gym (spitting distance to work). It’s a hilly route, which translates to a great interval training workout. It’s the best way (for myself) to stay lean. After work I lift for 45-60 minutes and then bike home. My problem is that 15 minutes into my bike home, I’m toast. No hustle. I can feel my body eating my newly made muscle for fuel. I wait until I get home to have my protein shake and banana.
1.Should I be eating after my weights or during my weights? FWIW, I (try to) follow T-Dawg 2.0.
2. Where can I find a calculator to determine my basic caloric needs considering all the cardio I do?
Let me give you some background. I put on bf very, very easily. It’s a real struggle. I envy you hard-gainers out there. I began lifting because I’ve always been husky, with brief periods of well-marbled and straight up fat.
Thanks in advance T-Nation! This site kicks serious ass.
