I think a couple of poeple tried contacting the kid in the photo - anyone get through to him?

What’s wrong with teenagers? Is the average teenager really any worse than the average adult?

yes.
How the hell can he have ‘bulked’ for that long and still only bench 141lb at 6’ 2" ?
How is that even possible? When I was 17 (and like 5’ 6") my bench was about 200 lbs, doing everything COMPLETELY wrong and undereating. What was he actually doing other than eating? I think some people see the goals but not the methodology.

were you actually 5’ 6" or “like” 5’6"?
Anyway, shorter people generally bench more

Also, i think we’ve established that this kid got a lot wrong in that time.

Hey he tripled his bench!

That is the most creative statistic skewing I have seen today. For most situations that sounds amazing. Here it sounds like he has made it to a good starting point.

I have no idea if I was exactly 5’ 6" or not which is why I wrote “like”. I just figured it was somewhere in that area, “like” implying that I was uncertain. You can read it as “approximately”, “around”, “possibly”, “maybe”, or anything else that fits at your discretion.
The point I was trying to make was that a fat 6’ 2" lad should be benching a lot more than that after so long training, it doesn??t look like he was calorie restricted does it?

There’s no doubt that he got the caloric surplus message, but either he wasn’t listening or just never picked up even foundational training principles. In all actuality had he been training meaningfully he probably wasn’t even eating too much. He’ll be alright. Anybody willing to eat like that and be that thrilled with miniscule gains will go into orbit when they gets their head screwed on straight and actually get somewhere.
looks like he wasn’t training at all. I mean, even with a shitty routine he should of put on a decent amount of muscle when eating that much.

How’s that?
From what I personally have seen, the average teenager is about as ignorant as the average adult.
“Looks like you just spent all your time at the ice cream factory.”
that one really made me laugh.
I’m only about 6 pages into this thread, but jesus christ, all I can say is THANK YOU FOR T-Nation
I just found T-Nation about a month ago, I didn’t even know about it, I thought BB.com was the only decent lifting site online. I am so grateful for T. BB.com’s articles are all written by 12 year olds and re-written by 9 year olds just to get 25$ credit at bb’s store.
I definately wish this was posted on here first, it would be fucking hilarious. I understand people saying “stop flaming”, but I mean, their not flaming a kid who came on looking for advice and asking questions, this kid posted pics because he thought he had made gains and wanted someone to pat him on the back. He got what he had coming, if anything they took it easy on him. I’m gonna go read the next 6 pages if I can stop laughing.

Do you sit in your room all day listening to EMO music, crying about how much you hate your dad and cutting yourself?

I cant say that I am glad that a person’s join date is becoming an indicator of anything on this website.

Agreed, that’s ridiculous.
Post count and the repetitive use of the word ‘bro’. Everything else is pure conjecture.
