How to Combat Anti-Climate Change Fools

Prostitution generally rises in countries as they shift away from agricultural economies and toward industrial ones, assuming that a corresponding increase in wealth occurs as well. But in societies or regions that remain primarily agricultural ones, as their economies decline prostitution rises. And climate change can certainly have a negative impact on agricultural economies.

Oakland Democrat claims Global Warming will lead to prostitution…

Really Liberals ?
Actually, it’s a pretty legitimate link between the two. Climate change, regardless of whether or not it’s anthropogenic, will lead to crop failures in many areas whose economies are primarily agricultural ones. That will also lead to higher food prices, something we already witnessing regarding many of the crops that come from the Midwestern U.S., an area that has been hit hard by severe droughts in successive years.

We already know that in many poor areas, women resort to prostitution as a source of income. This will only increase as undeveloped, dirt-poor regions are hit very hard by the effects of climate change. It sounds wacky to think that climate change will lead to an increase in prostitution, but once you take a look at the effects climate change can have on certain regions, it actually makes a lot of sense.

Of course, other areas in the world will see an increase in agricultural viability as more crops become available to grow that weren’t previously capable of being grown in those areas. So, perhaps prostitution will drop in those areas and a net change won’t occur. It might only be a shift in where prostitution festers. I don’t think that it will be a very significant change in numbers in either direction from a global standpoint, but I’m sure that certain regions will see some spikes in prostitution as their economies are hit harder and harder by the effects of climate change.
LOL!!! Now that’s fucking funny.

Technically speaking, a warming earth is more beneficial for crops. More heat is more energy, more energy draws more moisture into the atmosphere, and hence more rain. The reason for this is Earth’s homeostasis. When it warms, it takes upon itself the job of cooling itself which comes in the form of weather.

Like I said, there’s millions of factors involved in climate and everything that exists on the planet affects the climate. The Earth has climatological thresholds, when those thresholds are reached, then a counter effect takes place.
In other words, I ain’t worried.

I am for energy solutions that make sense, for technology that increases our freedoms. I am not for government continually restricting what I can do or what I can own for the sake of ‘climate’. It’s never about that, it’s always about power and control. There have been for decades, solutions to all these issues, all effectively killed off by the government and the EPA asslicks. What clean energy? Nuclear. Killed off by environmentalists.
Alternative fuels have been around for decades, cheap to make, easy to implement in the current infrastructure, killed off by the government.

Give me a green earth that gives me the freedom to do what I want, and I will be on board. If you have to force people to do it, you can bet your ass to solution is a bad one.

Why can’t I put solar panels on my house to supplement my own energy? Oh yeah, because it costs over $100,000. I know this because I looked into it seriously. It’s not doable, because the people who are for the environment aren’t for the environment. They are for making people behave like they want them to for the sake of environment.

Okay, so the concern is a rise in prostitution in the future of failing agrarian economies that may or may not convert to industrial economies (despite the collapse) but who, generally, don’t increase their wealth (despite economic conversion).

So, we’re worried about prostitution in maybe Myanmar, DPRK, among the Amish, and corn growers in the Sahara (not the parts that are getting greener) in the next 10-30 years, right? I was worried you were asserting a made up ‘totally legitimate’ concern.

It is obvious the government can not regulate climate change or give enough tax credits to change it.

San Pedro plans to reduce car lanes , and install bike lanes, in the name of Global Warming.

Jesus Christ, when we are actually removing car lanes for bike lanes, it’s time to bring on the Mayans.

the Mayans may all ready be here , rising gas prices and lower paying jobs could create a necessity for said bike lanes

Move to Texas. We have 80 MPH speed limits on I-10, 75 MPH speed limits on most all of the farm roads, and even an 85 MPH speed limit on a stretch of toll road. We want you to get where you’re going as fast as possible - in the widest lanes possible.

Hell, we even have our own nationalist (secession) movement that is growing more and more popular.

A guy who also posts on this site (not in PWI but the bodybuilding forums) moved from here to Austin yesterday, mostly for job reasons. But he told me he hated Los Angeles, the taxation and pussification is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

heh: "NASA writes (without saying “global warming”):

These jet stream changes over Greenland do not seem to be well captured in the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) computer model predictions of climate change, and this may indicate a deficiency in these models. According to our current understanding, the unusual atmospheric circulation and consequent warm conditions of summer 2012 do not appear to be climatically representative of future ‘average’ summers predicted later this century.

The next five-10 years will reveal whether or not 2012 was a rare event resulting from the natural variability of the NAO or part of an emerging pattern of new extreme high melt years. Because such atmospheric, and resulting GrIS surface climate, changes are not well projected by the current generation of global climate models, it is currently very hard to predict future changes in Greenland climate. Yet it is crucial to understand such changes much better if we are to have any hope of reliably predicting future changes in GrIS mass balance, which is likely to be a dominant contributor to global sea-level change over the next 100-1000 years.

Forget about renewable/alternative energies, zero-emissions, and carbon exchanges; if you told me I’d make money based on these projections, I’d say your scheme was hair-brained.

She is probably too young

A couple of new studies were just released about continuing climate change. I think this article does a good job of pointing out some of the issues that need to be addressed. First off, it dispenses with the foolish notion that climate change isn’t occurring at all. It skirts around the issue of whether or not climate change is man-induced or man-accelerated, but it does address the fact that humans need to be prepared to make large adjustments in how to deal with the wide-ranging impact that climate change can have on our quality of life.

I don’t think that point can be overstated. The fact is that climate change IS happening at an accelerated rate and there are myriad peripheral changes that are occurring as well. We simply cannot take the necessary steps to mitigate these changes, let alone slow them down or reverse them, if half the legislators and half the electorate in this country deny that climate change is even occurring in the first place.

I’d be interested in hearing more about that.

Start a thread. Maybe we can unfurl the old Western Confederacy battle flag once again.
