How to 'Bulk' For Naturals

My bad, I didn’t make myself clear I guess. I am in no way condoning his air of superiority or condescending manner of posting, I see how it seemed like that. But I guess what I’m saying is that why does anyone even have to respond to him? If posters can’t stand him, wouldn’t simply “freezing him out” or ignoring his posts would be more effective than “calling him out” as Ryan put it, or arguing with him at every opportunity.

After countless threads that have turned into arguments between X and half the site, it seems pretty clear to me that all arguing with him does is ruin threads that contain otherwise useful information, which becomes a hassle to sort through in order to take anything of use from. If saying to ignore someone you have problems with is enabling, than an enabler I am

This this this this this!
People need to just ignore his posts and he will stop.
If no one responds to his outlandish trolling and obvious attempts at starting an argument.
If people ignored his posts this would all go away

Well, I do have to agree with that. However, I don’t think that many will be able to resist arguing with him.

Dude, here’s the irony-- all the dudes complain about what a big meany PX is and how big his ego is and how they wish he’d stop trolling and stop responding, BUT THEY KEEP RESPONDING TO HIS POSTS, and even reference him in other forums (thereby invoking him like Beetlejuice or REDRUM REDRUM REDRUM).

I think there’s some ego involved with engaging him. The dudes just HAVE to prove PX wrong. THEY are going to be the ones to finally shut him up. But, guess what… they won’t. They just keep responding. And responding. And responding.

There are more posts describing PX’s posts than PX posts.

I don’t have a problem with PX’s posts (or most anyone’s posts for that matter), but if people don’t like his responses, why would you keep engaging him or writing his biography. Every thread there’s a damned biography on PX.

Oh, well, the dudes will keep complaining about PX, and they’ll keep responding to him and engaging him just so they can be the one to “zing PX” and they’ll keep writing about how awful he is.

That’s right, girls-- Keep describing your feelings. Tell PX how you FEEL about him. He’s all about your feelings. So keep writing how you feel.

LULZ. I just watched a show about how monkeys don’t ever learn not to go for 1 piece of candy when they could just wait a few seconds and get several pieces of candy. They just can’t help themselves…

@SteelyD-What’s REALLY ironic is that you keep doing the same shit over and over again as well. For the most part, I really respect you and your posts. But, really, you sound like a broken record at this point too. Just like the rest of us. Really, think about it. How many posts have you devoted at this point to defending him under the guise of, “Hey, I thought this thread was all about being tuff and gruff and not giving a shit about feelings 'er nuthin! Am I right? Right? Guys…”

Seriously, you keep acting like we are all being a bunch a softies er something. The reality is this: Talk shit, get hit. That’s all I’ve been saying. If this were the real world, X would have been shut up a long time ago by somebody like HT, Brick, or any number of other guys.

People just don’t put up with the shit he pulls outside of the internet. Inb4 “fatty want a cheezburger” or “meow, meow, meow” or whatever other lame jokes you’ve come up with to make jabs at the lean crew lately.

I’ve already stated the only true reason I reply to his posts are for my own laughs. I don’t read these forums any more for actual info because even decent threads only last a post or 5 before X railroads them. So now I use other places for info and here for fun. Sucks because there are some posters that are good. Oh well. And steely your x bromance is fun. I need someone like that in my life

When you juxtapose the quotes of him talking the talk with the ones of him asthmatically wheezing the walk whenever he tries to do the “doctor” thing in science-based discussions, he’s actually a pretty adorable intellectual speed bag.

I’ve never understood why ever single thread that X posts in has to turn into this! Give the guy a break…yeah he can be a dick and some of his views are questionable, maybe his approach/goals differ from many, but does every one of his posts necessitate 5 plus posters all attacking him? How do you guys want him to respond? He obviously has a lot of pride and determination judging by what he has accomplished in school, as a professional, and whether or not anyone wants to admit it he is a tank…he may have a higher bf percentage than many of us are comfortable with, but that’s for him to decide.

What I’m saying is, there’s no way he’s going to just back down or be intimidated off of this site, as he obviously enjoys it, as I’m assuming we all do. I understand why people get irritated with him, but everyone that calls him out repeatedly in every thread is just as responsible for these threads turning into shitstorms. All right, rant over!
Bingo.

Great post.

You realize you’re doing the exact same thing that you’re complaining about? lol
Complaining about other posters and sharing your feelings lol
I agree with you that people should ignore him and that is why I suggested it.
I’m tired of seeing him ruin every thread he comes into that is training/nutrition related.
Obviously other posters contribute to the derails, takes two to tango, but Prof picks the fights.
Anyway.
It gets old real fast and makes me not want to even participate with this forum.
I don’t know why it’s allowed to continue but it makes the boards unreadable.
A lot of good info and good posters are lost on the shuffle.

But whatever.
I’m sure most people don’t care that posters who genuinely want to help are put off from it.
Life goes on and ProfX will keep doing his thing.

Nothing anymore.
It’s a lost cause.
Just give up now.
Save yourself.

I wrote this on page 30 and the usual suspects got their panties ruffled because I posted at ALL.
Not just that, “most people” have real jobs where eating every 3 hours or whatever is not always an option even if you prepare ahead of time. That happens to me all of the time. It doesn’t matter how great the diet I prepared was if I don’t get to eat all day because I am in the clinic.

The person avoiding getting the cals in to make sure they eat “perfect” at all times may not grow as much.
You tell me what the argument is about after that because none of it makes sense.

At the risk of interrupting the flaming-

Counting every macro is extremely hard, plus unless you’re weighing everything there’s still a margin for error. Forget eating prepared meals.

What works well for me (couldn’t count in college due to dining hall, I eat out alot too):
Keep a rough estimate of protein in your head- I know if I have a couple chicken breasts (20g protein each), few whey shakes (50g protein each), large container of cottage cheese (50g protein), I’ve hit my target for the day of 1g/lb. Add some eggs (6g each) and I’m up to around 200g.

Keep fats low, eat the 93 lean or chicken instead of the 80 lean ground beef. You’ll get enough fat incidentally. Don’t be scared of it but avoid high fat meals.

If trying to cut, limit the carbs to very low. If trying to gain, add some rice to every meal, eat some finibars throughout the day, etc. No results? Add more!

Works well for the average gym rat, easy to follow. No good if you’re trying to compete probably but it works well enough. Anyway even if you’re counting everything there’s still a margin for error, different cuts of meat, slightly different sizes, and your metabolism varies unless you do the exact same thing every day.

^That’s what I am doing now. I feel like it’s working rather well. As long as I get my brotein in and keep calories consistently high, I feel like I have done my job.

Sure. That was, what, my third, maybe fourth post on the subject, compared to your, what dozen or so, and literally pages of others?

Puuhleeez.

I’ll assure everyone that this is my last post about everyone’s need to respond to PX versus ignoring him.

And, really smash, I’m saying the same thing you are, but because I’m not part of the “have to disagree with PX just to disagree with him and point out how bad he is” crowd, I’m somehow the nuthugger.

Again, puuuhhlleeez.

Now, I’ll just continue to scroll through the whining about PX from everyone from this point on. Maybe I’ll just post a code word pointing it out. That should get me some 100 new posts in a week or so, eh?

Oh I agree that we agree.
I wasn’t calling you a nuthugger or anything like that.
Maybe the written word had an un intended tone?
Sorry about that Steely Skywalker
I’m with you on the not complaining about it thing.
He’s getting the ignore from me just like he ignored my question at least a dozen times lol
I think you and I are on the same page and agree.
The deterioration of this board is a sad site to see.
