Im doing jack shit right now. Im doing FSL multiple sets plus joker sets so its enough for me. Im doing like 9-11 sets of my main lifts. I’ll do some ab wheel afterwards on deadlift day but nothing else. I also do prowler and farmers walks for conditioning but on off days. I love this template
I’ve done it sometimes to simulate a meet. So I would do my OHP(or close grip in my case) say… Tuesday for 5/3/1 week doing jack shit. Then Saturday I would do Squat, Bench, Deadlift 5/3/1 using the prescribed weights up to the “1” (95%) as the “opener”, then the training max next, and then based on that, whatever I think I can get for a single without failure. I had success with this twice before, but haven’t tried it out again since… August or so.

Personally I only do it on occassion when I’m feeling really beat down (bad day, getting sick…).
@jkt123, any chins or rows in there to offset all the pressing you’re doing?
Yeah I do chins imbetween every pressing set. Bench and overhead. I dont really count them though. Nonrowing right now. In my next cycle I may drop the joker sets on press and bench days and add in a row variation. Also my warmups are pretty extensive. I do the agile 8 plus bear crawls, med ball slams, jumps, overhead carries, and a bodyweight circuit

I was just wondering how often some of you guys do the jack shit template, if ever? Also, has anyone ever ran just jack shit for a few cycles?
I myself, probably do it a few times of month because of nursing school or work. How about anyone else out there?
I basically run Jack Shit every workout. I’ll use some bands for a blood pump for whatever I just worked or for a warmup. Honestly, you’ll make better gains honing your skills in the main lifts. I hate bodybuilding so I don’t waste time hurting my recovery by doing a bunch of extra stuff. It works great for me. Try it for an 8 week cycle and see what happens. You’ll be surprised on how fresh you feel going into each workout.
