How Often Do You Take Creatine?

Hi folks. Just a fast question, and it maybe a stupid one…

How often do you take creatine? Currently I only take it on days on my work out days. On off training days, I don’t. Before using creatine, my blood work and urine showed a very low creatine level. My doc is pretty much brainless on this type of stuff. His only comment on the low creataine level was, “It doesn’t mean much except you may get a kidney stone, just drink more water”. Uh…duh I’m at almost a gallon already.

Comments and suggestions please.

usually 2-5g per day is all it takes depending on body size.

find a new doctor. this is not a joke.

are you planning on cycling your doses. when i took it every 2-3 wks i would have a “off week”. i just cut it in half. was on it for about 8 months never had a stone and just drank a gallon of water a day. creatine levels never went above 1.2. fyi…it worked …good too.

Probably a stupid question, but on my cardio days i HIIT in the morning right outta bed, so i would take that 5g of creatine in warm liquid (tea??), and right after the HIIT, not before right?

5g per day.

I take 5 grams after every training session with Surge.

i get 10 grams in me… but i follow an am/pm split.

i only starting doing this after i read John Berardi’s article Growth Surge Project. great article… i suggest u read it

JB’s article was good. I use 5g of creatine in my post workout shake. This seems to work for me. I use it about 9 months out of the year. In the summertime I pretty much lay off all supplements, to prime my body for winter growth.

5g about an hour or 90 mins before training, 5g again after after.

Nothing on off days but I’m not sure if that’s optimal. I think I’ll start taking it again on off days. Just 5g.

/\ The only time I’ll have similar problems is if I have a shake containing more than around 400 calories.

hmmm i dunno whats up then, maybe theres something else i can do, i guess just eat like a damn hauss, oh yea by the way hauss=horse lol

I prefer drinking the creatine in OJ or plain water. But it does come in pill form.

I take 5g after each weight training workout with my Surge, and I workout 4 days a week, so I get 20g per week.

might help you to take ur creatine in ur morning coffee or tea.

This is what I do in my coffee mainly just for ease, so ill remember it and it dissolves great in hot liquids.

Is there a problem with dumping a spoonful in your mouth and washing it down with water?

That’s what I’ve been doing for the past year or so.

can you get a creatine that is not flavored? so you can mix it with something as you guys suggested?
