Just get a samoanectomy and do WWE for a while, you’ll get there.

Ha. This how I train now. Haven’t flat BB benched in over a year.
Strongman especially gives you a solid vector here, because the weights/distances are predetermined. It’s not like powerlifting, where you can select your attempts, and if the training cycle doesn’t pan out you can just go light. If you’re training for a competition where it’s a 500lb axle deadlift for reps, come comp time, you’d better be able to deadlift a 500lb axle, or else you’ll zero. That sorta vector/pressure tends to make you reach deep in training.
