How much weight is that really? It cannot be 400+ pounds.
I’m guessing she was using the heavier bar, and it would have been 154 for a single. Those are oly bumper plates.
Yeah…I was there when she did that. Strong woman.
Are we talking about the same part of the video? I was referring to her second lift with what would be 4 or 5 conventional 45’s on there… if they were oly plates wouldn’t it be more weight?

For the first time ever watching a possibly injurious weight lifting clip, I was actually truly disappointed that the person lifting didn’t sustain some type of injury…

57 seconds in. Those are bumper plates; they’re much wider than a convential plate. Also, you’ll notice the green tape in the center of each. Two greens per side plus a 5 kilo plate. 25 kilos/side + 20 kilo bar. 70 kilos = 154 lbs.
I talked to a guy about a week ago that has trained with her. I never heard of her till he mentioned her but she is not only strong as shit and built like a house but she’s pretty hot too. I think her nickname is the bodybuilding barbie.

I thought that was Nicole Ritchie…
You’re right bench press barbie not bodybuilding barbie. Dude’s name was Dan Conner out of Decauter.

Even though the film was titled “220”, it looked like 3 plates and at least a 10 lb. weight on the last single. So it’s possible he did 335 on the last one, not bad for a guy who doesn’t look very strong.
those looked like bumper plates as well…

I feel a lot better about my lifts! This is proof that poor lifting advice from the bar trainers permeates every part of the gym. Most of the videos don’t even show the bar touching the chest!!!
Should we host a lifting clinic?

Please tell me you’re joking. The “lifting” partners were helping him on both sides and he went, what, down 1/8 of the lift? Maybe 1/4???

No fucking way. See all the Kara lifts on this thread. She can embarrass many men in most gyms.
That’s an amazing feat of mind over matter for someone that skinny and weak to lift that weight.
