How long?

With the help of the info I have recieved from those on this forum I have recently (two months ago) discontinued the use of an ephedra based product which I had been using for quite some time. This came about when I learned that I was muffing up my metabolism and if I did not quit I would mess it up for good. Since discontining I have been eating maintnenence calories and training very intensely. Needless to say my results have came, but at a much slower pace. The question I have is, for those who have experienced this type of adrenal fatigue, aboout how long did it take till you got back your regular metabolism, and what strategies did you imply to achieve this? I have been using R-ALA, and have noticed a difference in the way I feel, but not neccasarily am seeing one. Any replys are always appreciated

LOL! I used to be an MD6 freak! I used it striclty for the energy kick, two a day. It took a while, some headaches of I recall, but everything evened out eventually, after a month or so. Use a little caffeine to help yourself out a bit, just don’t get strung out on it to like I did…

What are you guys’ feelings on no ephedra based products, in particular EFX? I know that most will swear up and down about hot rox, and I have read the research and statements in regards to it, but I specifically would like to here of any one who has used EFX and there results. Does it also cause adrenal fatigue?

janderstein, I thought about posting the same type of question a couple years ago (“I’ve stopped taking MD6, will I ever feel OK again?”) I took a LOT of MD6 for quite a long time. I often cycled off as recommended but I don’t know if I always kept track of the weeks correctly. Before MD6 I had used a lot of other ephedra products, not for fat loss but for chronic bronchitis/sinusitis, without cycling. MONTHS after stopping ephedra, I still felt tired and lethargic. I then adopted a Starbucks venti habit, which I’ve now cut back to a half-venti per day.

The good news is that after a while - I don’t know, maybe a year? - and a really good diet, I’m now feeling pretty great. Much as I love the acute effects of ephedra and caffeine, in my experience, I think I’m much better off without them.
