Hi everyone i just want to know how long should you train(power lifting style)before you should start participating in power lifting meets.Is there age requirement and/or minimum weight class that you have to meet before you can start participating.

there is [nearly] no age limit.
there is no weight limit, only weight classes.
i went from years of sitting on my ass to a meet in 6 months. you could do it in less.
Its good experience and it gives you something to train a little harder for. As long as you are competent in the 3 lifts and understand the rules/judging criteria theres no reason to wait. I feel stupid for waiting as long as I did.
You are ready the moment you ask the question ‘How long before meets?’
