How Is He This Strong?

Did no one else see this part of the OP’s second post?

Seems like the OP says his balding arch nemesis hits 250KG for 2. Makes a lot more sense if that’s the case.

OP is either trolling or, sadly, extremely ill-informed with a lack of weightlifting experience and knowledge.
No, according to that chart a male between 132-165lbs should not be able to 113-137lbs on a deadlift. But he did 120kg for 2 reps and 130kg for 1.

Hilarious thread…

Ok, let’s see now:

 1. Maybe he lied about it being the first time he’s ever dl’d.

 2. If he works as a mechanic he possibly has at least a bit of experience in lifting some heavyish stuff which we may be a factor.

 3. A 280LB dl even if the above conjecture is totally off isn’t really that much…I mean an untrained guy BENCHING 280 or even maybe squatting 280…sure, that’s a different ball game, suck his cock for sustenance/inspiration!!

 4. The shittier a newbies form on deadlifts, the bigger the weights they tend to put up (same deal with bicep, swing curls!).
I thought deadlifting with shitty form means you do not use your legs and instead use the weaker lower back muscles??

I think he was talking about that chart that has numbers for what an untrained person should supposedly be able to pull in lbs and he’s saying his friend can pretty much do those numbers in kg.

Is the OP trolling though? I mean we’re talking a 4 year troll job. He’s been doing the same kind of stuff in the beginner forums since 2010. I don’t know how to feel…

He’s not my buddy; if he was I would’ve said ‘hi’. I haven’t worked with him for years and I never kept in contact/wanted to keep in contact

He posted that very confusing and badly worded thing about pounds and KG’s well before the chart was posted.

Very strange, that’s for sure.

I missed that.

I’m not balding, but I still have a gut. I carried a much bigger gut around for a decade or so before I started lifting. Carrying that gut does, in fact, build some strength, so when I finally kicked myself in the ass and got in gear I was able to build a decent strength base up rather quickly.

The OP doesn’t seem to know the training history of his newfound nemesis, so it is entirely possible that he’s in the same boat I am and may have several months or longer under the bar while working away at that gut of his. For reference’s sake, I was DL’ing five plates within 4 months of picking up a barbell.

Its not a miracle. It just confirms what anyone who has been around the iron knows already. Big guys have an advantage when it comes to absolute strength.

Especially mechanics.

2007-2009 I did shitty workouts in a shitty gym. No olympic bar or squat rack. Machines and heavy dumbbells.

2010- Kickboxing and University September-June. Gym June-September
2011- Kickboxing,Judo,Wrestling and University September-June. Gym June-September
2012-Judo,Wrestling and University September-June. Gym June-September
2013- University and bodyweight exercises, some wrestling. September-October.

So I was only doing weight training over the holiday period due to sports and University. ‘Spreading myself thin’ or so to speak.

So I have been working out since October on 3x5

yea but he also posted that chart, which is in lbs

“No, according to that chart a male between 132-165lbs should not be able to 113-137lbs on a deadlift.”

On what fucking planet is this true? I’ve never met a single person that couldn’t pick up, at a minimum, their body weight unless they had something medically wrong with them.

When I was in college, I noticed one of my classmates (170 lbs) dead-lifting 145lbs

…I walked over and curled it 3 times.

some people are just so stupid they cant realize what they are (or should be) capable of.

You don’t understand how weak you are. That’s the main issue here. Your friend isn’t strong. You are just weak. I weighed 125 lbs when I got out of high school (didn’t play sports), and didn’t lift weights for the first time until I was 19. Within 6 months of the first time I stepped in a gym, I could bench press as much as you can deadlift.

Fixed it for you…

I saw ex co worker after almost 7 years at gym today. He was skinny and had acne before but now is balding and has a gut. I was impressed with his new physique & I was so turned on. After our deadlift workout, where he out lifted me, proving his Alpha Male status over me, we showered together. We gave each other soapy handy’s in the shower. His technique was shitty and it was his first time doing it. He wore a belt. His grip was a bit rough and it chafed my dick but it felt great. All I know is he used to be into cycling. But he now works as a car mechanic. All I know is when he was railing me from behind in the shower, all I could say was “lube my chassis Mr. Goodwrench”.
Man the fuck up you Limey bastard.

+10 points for accuracy.

Hahahahah that’s pure poetry

Everything this guy posts is insane. After reading this I don’t think he’s real, but I pray to god that he is.

Didn’t think this much retard could hide behind a link.

Ronki: I want you to do this.

 • get on a healthy diet. Enough protein, enough fats, enough carbohydrates. No bulking, no cutting. Just eat in a reasonable manner.
 • get on starting strength or stronglifts 5x5. ZERO modifications, they won’t make the routine better.
 • get 7-9 hours of sleep every fucking night. Go to bed at the same time every day and turn of the TV and computer two hours beforehand.
 • work your ass off and try to finish the set at all costs. learn how to safely fail. That being said, once you fail a weight three times, reset by 10%.
 • do all of this for six months, no excuses. If you do, you will be better. If you don’t, no one can help you.

Wanna know why your friend is stronger than you? Because he works a physical job and NEEDS to apply his body. No ‘Oh, I can’t tighten that screw, maybe I should do more wrist rotations’. You, on the other hand, keep changing things looking for the magic pill. I know people who couldn’t do a single pull up - guess what, they did a few negatives each day and boom, they got it within a month. What you need is more common sense, more grit, less doubt and less internet reading.
gotta say i support this post 100%, people too often forget about the basics and get caught up in the minutia of assistance exercises and trendy workouts/equipment, stop eating shit/not eating, napping all day and sleeping 4 hours a night, find a gym with a power rack, dumbbells, plyo boxes, a treadmill, shut up, and get to work.

You don’t do enough bent over, behind the back triceps extensions OP. That’s the secret
