I'm about to start my second official "bulk." I was wondering if there are any guidlines as far as how much weight to gain. I've heard some people speak of limiting it to 10 pounds and some go as high as 20 or 30. I know in all honesty both should prob. be limited to reaching a certain bodyfat %.
However, my measuring of bodyfat is usually limited to looking in the mirror. I know its probably differs person to person, but I wanted to see if anyone had any “special formulas” or any insight regarding this. Thanks.
Bulk until you gain to much FAT. Could be 5 lbs may be 30+ depends on your diet and how you go aboyut it if you are gaining to mauch fat then you need to change something. You myust however expect some fat gain.
Keep buling as long as you can. The longer you keep the new weight and muscle on the easier it is to keep.
Cutting well cut until you are not Fat. No need to go for single digits unless you are getting on stage IMO.
Get yourself a basic scale or handheld device that meaures fat through impedence (spelling?).
Decided if 2,3,4,5,-10% bf fat gain is acceptable for you. Take a reading when you roll out of bed in the morning and write it down. This is your base line. Now do your bulk, and take a reading each morning or every other. When the reading is at your bf% gain limit stop the bulk phase.
I know that these decvices are not 100% accurate, but they will give you a baseline reading (even if you are 8% and it reads 10.2% the 2.2% off will be constant) so you can monitor bf gain.
