How Fast Do T Levels Drop? Didn't Apply Cream 24Hrs Before Bloodwork

So just got my labs back:face_with_monocle: T total is 85ng/dL and free is 16.6. Here’s the kicker…I, on 175 mg/g of compounded ball cream and did not apply cream for 24 hours before my blood test at 8 in the morning. Is this normal or do I need to ask my Doc to up it? Lol I think I’m one the only people here trying to just get normal :rofl:

That doesn’t sound normal. This is your first blood test since starting? How do you feel?

What you did by testing 24 hours after your last application of T cream amounts to injecting once and testing weeks later when it’s almost cleared out of your system.

This is the wrong way to run labs when on topicals and if your doctor instructed you to do this, he isn’t taking into account half life of topicals. Your levels will always be very low on topicals when testing in this manner regardless of the dosage.

I’m on Jatenzo, an oral T gel capsule (2x daily) and levels peak in 2 hours, this is when I run labs to see what my levels are. Topicals aren’t much different.

Ok sweet didn’t know that, I’m doing topical only what time of day should I do blood work?

1 hour after application is closer to peak, but I would test at 4 hours to see where your average levels are.

What’s more important than the numbers is how you feel.

Still pretty tired and my libido only kinda improved.
Lifts are a little better but not like I was last year. The big thing is the exhaustion
