How Long Does Scrotal T Cream Take to Start Working?

Hi guys,

Obviously being dose dependant, but How long after starting T cream does it take to start working? Im talking about scrotal application.
Does it still take 6 to 8 weeks to get stable after switching from injections?
When should you notice skin producing more oil/ improvement in libido/ better erections etc?

Thanks

This is going to differ among individuals, the creams only reach steady states faster, recovering from low-T is still roughly the same as injections.

I felt the effects of the creams immediately after application when applying to the inner thigh.

Cheers systemlord. Did you not get on with the creams?

Shifting from injections to cream should be a seamless transition. You should be reaching peak levels as the injected T begins to wear off.

The effect of creams is too short-lived and would have to dose it several times a day. I’m on Jatenzo now.

Are you still doing well on that?

Thats interesting. Ive heard its meant to work well with low shbg guys dosed weekly, but i bet its a pain to get dialled in due to the half life?

My A1C continues on a downward trajectory and now my fasting glucose is 125, down from 200-300’s 2 months ago where simply eating a meal would cause blurry vision and extreme sleepiness.

My hematocrit keeps finding its way to 56% and am going to be doing phlebotomy every 4 weeks. My iron requirements are high, needing a minimum of 112 mg daily or fatigue and a host of other nasty symptoms reappear quickly.

Dialing in on Jatenzo has been very easy, 7 days to a steady state. Zero water retention issues.

I need a belt now, :).

Can I get bloods done a week after starting?
When is the best time of day to test, and how do levels rise and fall compared to injections?

Thanks

I think creams they say something like 4 hours after you’ve applied your morning dose. I’d say after a week or 10 days you’ve hit steady state and numbers aren’t going to move anymore

I’d not heard of Jatenzo! How is it more absorbable than the old Andriol oral testosterone?

I’d really like to try it. I’m currently on Tostran 2% gel which works great but there are 2 negatives:

Getting it on my female partner, so sex can’t be spontaneous I have to thoroughly shower to remove the gel.

Secondly it takes quite a lot of time each day: 1cc of the gel takes 30 minutes to dry versus Jatenzo which is a few seconds twice a day

I’d love to try this too, but the cost is too high. Getting approved by insurance (UHC or Cigna) you have to prove that shots, gels, and creams all don’t work for you before they’ll cover it.

You can only get Jatenzo in the US and is under a different name in Canada. As far the absorption it bypasses the liver on the first pass only, but is actually absorbed in the intestines via fatty acids which is why it’s recommended you take it with food containing at least 30 grams of fat, 15 grams and Free T levels end up 25% lower.

Also Jatenzo produces higher DHT than injections but not higher than topicals, strange considering Jatenzo gets you higher Free T versus topicals.

I’ll also mention Jatenzo doesn’t supress your HPTA like with injections, LH and FSH are still in the low normal ranges. That means maintaining fertility is more likely on Jatenzo.

Started scrotal cream 2 weeks ago and feeling awful. Dosage 1 pump of 10% cream daily on scrotum.

TT: 45 nmol/L
FT: 1.5 nmol/L
E2: 108
Shbg:15
prolactin 289 miu/l

Extremely dry skin
Bad Anxiety/Depression
ED

Will I have Low E2 symptoms with these results?

Thanks

that is to low of a dose

Not for me it isnt. Look at my values again.
TT: 1150
FT:1.5 / 43 ng/dl

The thing is with creams your levels are up and down do to the short half-life, so while your levels are high at the time of testing, hours later is another story.

Creams are normally dosed twice daily.

would 108 e2 at those free t levels explain the low e2 symptoms though?

I have no idea what an estrogen level at 108 means, no reference ranges or units of measure were provided.

The symptoms could be your hormone levels swinging wildly which means hormones aren’t elevated long enough to show any benefit. This was pretty much my experience on T-creams.

Sorry, Its 108 pmol/L or 29 pg/ml
